The good news is that life is changing, and IMO One Piece is about to hit the best stretch of the New World.
By the end of the year, I hope things are much happier.
Modern Light Novels are actually some of the best content out there.
Konosuba's movie was GOOD and still didn't come close to matching the Light Novel for me (Volume 5 of Konosuba completely changed how I viewed how I treat other people, with Kazuma's acceptance/celebration of Megumin's "flaws"). Modern Manwha is good, but, I've read Tower of God: it has all the problems One Piece has, if not more. Don't even get me started on South Korean Everyone Else in the Manwua Sucks Donkey Nuts But the Self Insert Main Character Leveling. Their fanbases are WORSE, if anything. They're sure as hit not better.
My Hero had a GOOD ENDING, and people hated it. Modern audiences are fucking miserable, and I can't blame them.
Hope Black Clover's ending knocks it out of the park, Tabata-sensei deserves it, prayers up for his family.
