Ironically I believe this happened before he even published Toriko. Shonen Jump still employed him, even let him publish another manga after Torino ended.
But that was a long time ago when tbh there wasn’t as much of a spotlight on famous people doing shitty things.
Nowadays tho I think there would probably be too much bad press if some studio tried to reboot toriko.
Oh well, maybe Toriko will get a reboot once the mangaka eventually dies.
