Force Choke the Chicken
Shoutout to Mem-Cho for getting one million subs lol.

Other than my favorite Mem-Cho, Akane my other favorite character, really ended up kind of carrying the series till the very end.

As for that final chapter, what a trash ending, like wtf.
All that romance subplot was for nothing, Aqua went from being a great character to a fucking moron who ended his life, and him ending his life just made things worse for everyone including his own sister.

With the exception of Akane, most of the other characters were all wasted, Kana and Ruby both got screwed over especially Ruby.

Ruby pretty much becomes Ai 2.0 which is not a good thing, and also poor Kana fans, at the end Kana never went out with Aqua or even kissed him and her character barely got that much focus.

Not only Akane but even fucking Ruby kissed Aqua.💀 (Although that was only because of the movie).

Meanwhile Kana who seemed like the main love interest ended up getting nothing.

The main villain went from being really interesting to just another character that was wasted.

I think it's fine to have a tragic ending and even kill off one of your main characters, but it needs to be done where it makes sense and still have a somewhat satisfying conclusion, this unfortunately was not it.

It seems like Aka wanted Aqua's death to have the same shocking plot twist that Ai's death had in the beginning, but to me it ended up failing.

Also what the fuck was the point of the crow girl? She really ended up being a useless character.

Now do I regret reading the series? As much as I hate the ending, no I don't regret reading the series. Despite how I feel about the final arc, I still believe that the first several arcs were really great and enjoyable.

Either way, what a trash ending for a series that started off really strong but unfortunately went downhill.
Mem-cho deserves her success. But, this series? Ugh. What an ending.

Ai's death to me was supposed to show how destructive the Idol Industry was. That Aqua and Ruby would change it.

Instead?

Aqua became what he hated. He made Ruby cry by choosing murder, over Ruby, just like Hikaru chose murdering Ai over letting her live. Aqua learned nothing from Ruby's suffering over Ai's death, and made Ruby watch someone she loved, who she had already seen the death of (Goro) die again, as Aqua.

By choosing revenge and murder, Aqua ruined Ruby's life. And Crow Girl thinks it's acceptable?

Akane doing nothing to prevent this pisses on the face of her character.

This isn't a tragedy, it's tragically bad writing ignoring all character motivations to end on a tragic note.

Aqua choosing to kill himself to hurt Ruby pisses in the face of his character, and Akane doing nothing to monitor Aqua during his most vulnerable point is even worse writing.

The worst part is that Ruby being left to suffer endlessly because Aqua chose to sacrifice himself rather than live, makes Ai's death seem so pointless. Ai wanted her children to be happy, and Aqua tossed it away, when so many others would be willing to go after Kamiki.

Kana had every right to slap his corpse after he lied to her fucking face.

Shout out to Mengo, though, one of the BEST artists in the game. I adore Mengo's art, her versatility is very underrated.

The point was that by that point Aqua was already "cured"

He lied to Akane that Kamiki was cured and went to meet him behind Akane's back.
Then Kamiki convinced with his black stars to kill himself.
Kana had every right to slap his corpse after he lied to her fucking face
She had no right
What did he lie about?
