I think some could because he looks kind of like the corpse shadow being used as a gate to the underworld in the previous episode.

Best season 1 of any anime I've watched before.

I am one of those people who judged a book by its cover, but I am glad that I gave this series a try. I had seen a lot of people talking about it which drew a little bit of my interest. I was cleaning up around the house one day and just wanted some noise in the background, so I put this on. About 3 or 4 episodes in I found myself getting sucked into the story. While the art is nothing special it has a sort of charm to it. The story and characters though are quite remarkable if you ask me. Bojji is quite the MC, though he is not able to speak he is quite expressive and a joy to watch as he progresses on his journey. I have watched the first 8 episodes so far and I am looking forward to finding out what is going on behind the scenes. A very touching series that has a lot of heart.
