but at his best ('nothing happened', his relationship w/chopper, dedication to kuina) he's much better than franky, pre-skip nami and robin.

overall i think i hate franky the most.

Zoro is OK character for now. He was great pre-timeskip but post-timeskip Oda chose him to be a generic badass character.

At least he has a constant personality. He is always acting like he should. Unlike Luffy that acts completely different because of plot or to hype forced badass moments.

He was never a charisma character and remains like that. It was nonsense of Oda to have him stating he would recruit Samurais of Wano. He didn't because he is not that guy. The only ones who followed him was because of his strength(those 2 guys from Baratie/Arlong Park)

Every speech from Zoro makes 100% sense. He is like the father figure of Strawhats while Luffy is the mother one. He is the reason of the crew. That's why everybody heads down to listen what he has to say about Usopp leaving and joining the crew as he wants to or about Vivi situation currently.

Chopper is easily worst written strawhat character and oda had great chance to utiliz his skills to treat artificial devil fruit.

Rarely used in fighting panel, useless in fighting. Half the panel i see with chopper i tend to ignore why the heck is he in the crew.

Luffy has had as much or a little bit more growth than Zoro in the entire series. What trials did Zoro go through?

Luffy went through:

Crew being torn apart.
Fighting Ussop
Dealing with Ace's death

Zoro's biggest growth so far is he can now only see out of one eye.

I'm not shitting on Luffy for having no growth. Development isn't necessarily character growth. But Zoro do have that. It is clearly how he became less naive since Luffy saved him and then he is barely trusting anyone outside the crew.
