Whats your wincon?

I adopted my target (Ratchet’s) as an alternative wincon so it’s functionally still town.

(I thought it was just gonna be to keep him alive but that’s not what Fuji gave me)

He had to turn Indie because otherwise he would have info that outs scum, which means either he gets modkilled or the scum, potentially all of them, get outed. Where are you getting anything else reasoning wise from? Because it's certainly not this thread!

The turning indi part isn't in contention

It's that if I were to take his account of his motives at face value, my assumption would be he'd turn himself into something like Blue, or some troll role, and not something that's explicitly (from his PoV) beneficial to town

Prof betrays his reputation if he does the most boring thing imaginable here. Sad!

You seem to be having trouble with how you parse information, so let me help you. As I'm town, I have info that directly correlates to Mango being scum. Not indie, scum. If someone thinks I'm town, then they trust my testimony. So Mango further burying himself means nothing to them or to me. Because he's outed scum. You can't be more outed than outed scum. Him claiming Indie only affects those who either side with him, or are undecided - it potentially sways them to supporting his side because he has no kills as an Indie. So with all that considered, your argument of "you shouldn't care because it just exposes him further" doesn't stand up - from my perspective, the only outcome from him claiming Indie is a negative one.

This just further evidences that you don't know him very well, then. While he would probably become some Indie anyway, he doesn't want to take the town from a winning position to leaving the town to do something else. He wants to win the stomp.

The compromise is "Prof is not allowed to contribute to solving the game". So I can ask him what he thinks about my points etc, and he can't answer any of it. He can just use actions and defend himself.

Prof joining me as a GA is separate from the TMI he has from the flip error. He would have done that either way presuming he was confident enough I was town. The only stipulation because of the flip error is that he can't solve, which is the compromise to modkilling Prof.

Presuming he's scum, and I know you can't answer, it does make me think - would he rather you see the thing and then talk about it to solve later? Would that be fairer to him? If you have mod confirmation of the entire scum team or whatever and just go through then one by one.
