Asura is the final form. I doubt it has anything to do with CoC.

But didn't Rayleigh say that Haoshoku was a user's very "spirit made manifest"?

The first (and only proper) description of Haoshoku we ever got was "spirit manifestation".

It triples everything, his Physical Stats and Form, his Haki, his Sword Style ... etc

Imagine as if Zoro have the Devil Spirit of a Zoan DF but without the DF Ability, Asura is basically his Awakening

Its not only Asura, Zoro has many attacks where we can see those spirit auras. I dont think he was using CoC in gazami dori or ushi bari.

but those images aren't illusions other characters in the story actually see
e.g no one comments on the dragon in tatsumaki

but kaku clearly stated ashura is an illusion created with his will
and after the attack kaido stated he had conquerors haki.

its a bit hard to think it isnt haki anymore. fits what ray said about coc.

There is only about 5 major power systems in One Piece
- Haki : Nobody ever shown anything like Asura so my guess is a fat no
- Devil Fruits : Zoro can swim so no
- Martials arts : clearly No
- Technology : obviously No
- Genetic abilities : like Electro , King flame etc.. : this is where Oda can go wild , it's also the only power system where Ashura would make sense , so this is likely the only possibility.

Also Zoro was introduced as a "Demon" , so my guess is that he is half Demon and the Earrings are a Seal for his Demonic powers

People thought his swords were bending before Enbima Yonezu Onigiri. So the illusions have some effect on in-verse characters =>

This is a valid point. I wonder if Kaido thought the asura auras were actually CoC

If Asura was haki it would not be visible because haki is"invisible armor" while Asura is visible.
And it is certainly not an illusion but a real thing, a manifestation of demonic aura, it's in the name...
There would be no point in 6 illusionary swords and we already saw 9 cuts in Makyuusen.

Why can't all COO users sense emotions, see through walls or see the future?

Why can't all Busoshoku users create barriers or projectiles of haki?

Each colour of haki has multiple applications. Some of those applications are unique to a particular user.

I think Asura is an advanced form of Haoshoku:

I voted for Haoshoku and spirit.

Per Rayleigh, Haoshoku is a user's very spirit made manifest.

Furthermore, Zoro showed advanced forms of haki preskip:

• Kenbunshoku: he knew where the rocks wouldn't fall
  • Future sight?
• Busoshoku: he could "hear the breath of all things" and obtained the power to not cut leaves but cut steel
  • Ryuo
• Haoshoku: Asura?
  • Kaku said that he created Asura with his "spirit"

Are you saying Enbima Yonezu Blade warping is also CoC ?
