I think ray gets to shine more now that he is not under anyone. He trained luffy and is in action as we see in recent chapter where as we will see zoro mostly under luffy where he is restricted due to plot.

This isn't news. Zoro is the parallel of Rayleigh, Oden, Ryuma, Mihawk. Basically every dude with sword besides trafalgar

Law is the parallel of Whitebeard, Kid the parallel of Shiki/Rocks, that's what worstgen needs to accept.

How in the world does Rayleigh have more parallels with Killer than he does with Zoro lol

  • All the appearance stuff (less important, but still splitting image)
  • En-Ou/Mei-Ou
  • PK's #2/RHM
  • All three forms of haki
  • Sword user, Killer uses scythes
Just to name a few.
More than parallels I'm talking similarities in personality and approach.
Killer is cooler than Zoro, more calculated and smart, just like Rayleigh. Zoro on the other hand is more of a goofball.
Killer objective is backing Kidd up in his quest whatever happens, just like Rayleigh with Roger. Same goes for Zoro but he also wants to be WSS, something that detaches him from Rayleigh's figure.
Killer & Rayleigh literally live/lived for their captain.

No doubt both Zoro and Killer share similarities with Rayleigh, but I personally think Killer is closer to him as a character, as a person.

To make you an example: Rayleigh is the kind of guy that decides to live a chill life once retired (ship coater), and I can see Killer be more of that kind of guy (owner of a pasta shop/weapon builder) rather than Zoro (who would most likely keep training even when it's not necessary anymore).

Oh, yeah, as a character Killer is more similar def. Though won't say that means Killer has more parallels with him, I guess, so was confused at wording.

For example, as characters and personality-wise, I think Roger and Luffy are quite different barring that one dream- but no one parallels Roger more than Luffy, if that makes sense.
