Zoro, but I see even more parallels with Killer
How in the world does Rayleigh have more parallels with Killer than he does with Zoro lol

  • All the appearance stuff (less important, but still splitting image)
  • En-Ou/Mei-Ou
  • PK's #2/RHM
  • All three forms of haki
  • Sword user, Killer uses scythes
Just to name a few.

Zoro is cringe + up until now he is seen as nothing more than Luffy's bitch.

There is no incredible hype for Zoro after Wano, Law and Kidd are praised more as the members of alliance.

Zoro will never reach Rayleigh's clout. I doubt he even surpasses Mihawk in clout even when he becomes the WSS.
Who hacked Seth?

Powerlevel matters though. We know for a fact EoS Zoro will be on Rayleigh's level, at worst equal. Kidd/Law will never be EoS Luffy's equal and thats why they cant be this generation's Whitebeard. Its a similar situation to why Coby/Smoker cant be Luffy's Garp. Again, I am not saying Zoro is Rayleigh's clone. He is more similar to Luffy than Rayleigh, he is not as smart and rational as Rayleigh.
since you note zoro's comparison to rayleigh isnt exactly perfect to make a parallel
why does law and kidd's comparison to say shiki and wb have to be
essentially each person can pick and choose what they feel is a more important criteria for what a parallel is. As @Shanal defined it , it opens up a can of worms.

you didnt respond to my last point @Shanal

the roles law and kidd fulfill are pretty similar to wb and shiki
being the 2 closest people in his generation to compete with luffy
from your definition and example
you should also agree they are shiki and wb parallels.
Kidd does kind of seem like he fulfills Shiki role. Sorta? I'm not sure.

I don't see Law as anything like WB, however. WB was Roger's biggest rival (not enemy, but rival). WB/Roger is a situation akin to Mihawk/Shanks, if anything. Law does not have that kind of portrayal with Luffy.

Law is his own character, I don't see Law representing any of the older generation there. WB's relationship with Roger is very little to nothing like Law. Law is far, far more of an ally than rival anyway, no matter how much he tries to insist otherwise- and those gags of him "following" Luffy's orders, etc, exist to just banter at that a little.

Not saying Law can't be uber strong or whatever, just don't see any correlation. There's no reference, no parallel, nada.

xebec was roger's biggest rival fyi (stated by sengoku) not wb .

Law like wb seems like both a friend and an rival , so close in fact roger told him about the one piece .
they both occupy similar roles in luffy's generation
undeniably luffy has those two captains on his heels shown in wano
for you to not consider that a parallel , I think you agree with me

There's no reference, no parallel, nada
^^^

same thing applies to zoro and rayleigh. you got someone he was likened to in wano , an actual reference .

Sanjifans desperation is unreal. Its just sad and pathetic.
- Depicted by Oda among every other right hand man including Rayleigh in a cover
- Said to act like a vice captain in the vivre card
- Same epithet (King of Hell and King of the underworld)
- Both the first ones to join the PK
- Both Haoshoku users
- Same fighting style (DF less swordsmen and both Zoro and Rayleigh have been shown to switch swordstyles)

Sanji stans like @Chaves : "but Sanji and Zoro were seen in the same panel when Rayleigh appeared and when Luffy said good bye, and Rayleigh cooked a meal just like Sanji"

Also Sanji stans when not taken serious: "it's because you don't have arguments"

LMAO how is this even a question?

- Dark King / King of Hell
- Conqueror Haki / Conqueror Haki
- 1031 cover of number twos / 1031 cover of number twos
- right hand man of Roger / right hand man of Luffy
- swordsman / swordsman
- scarred eye / scarred eye
- scarred chest / scarred chest
- alcohol fetish / alcohol fetish
- very similar recruit
- Zoro as an old man looks like a green Rayleigh
- Rayleigh as a young man looks like a blonde Rayleigh

COME ON

How is this even a question? What's next... wondering if the Roger parallel is Luffy or someone else?

En-Ou/Mei-Ou thing is a blatant parallel, though. Author made it exists solely to reference Ray It's quite obvious.

Law doesn't have any of that with WB. He doesn't fulfill the exact same role, either, as he's not a big equal footing rival to Luffy. He's hardly a rival to begin with; his character traits are far more that of an ally.
