Normal would mean that is happens at a very high rate. Which it does not. Its also quite hard to prove that animals have a similar reaction than humans in this.
2 dogs dry humping each other to assert dominance surely is not proof that its normal.

Note though that it doesnt matter that it happens in nature. Appeal to nature is no argument.
