I don't think bounty is a 1-1 representation of pedigree. So it isn't as simple as higher bounty = higher pedigree especially when you're comparing a Captain to a Subordinate.

Simplest example of this is Luffy and Zoro for instance, do you think a 2bil gap is truly an accurate representative of how the two of them stack against each other pedigree wise?

A bounty of 3bil+ does not mean that Rayleigh is any less than a Yonko. Again, I'd say remove the Yonko bounties from your head for a moment and look at the Yonko Commanders instead. The 3bil range in comparison to 1 bil range is world's apart and an accurate enough representation of a Rayleigh's prestige in my opinion.

See the admirals for example, who have a similar leader subordinate subordinate relationship (i.e. Fleet Admiral > Admirals hierarchy wise). These guys who are pretty much on par with the Yonko are in the 3bil range. Ray even in the 3bil range is likely to have a higher bounty than even the Admirals. Isn't that quite a bit of prestige in itself though?

In my humble opinion it's not going to happen and there's strong evidence in the manga to back that. Hell even the Fleet Admiral has a 2bil bounty higher than the rest of the admirals but I digress.

I'm open minded on the possibility of Benn potentially shaking things up though, who knows this 60% percentage could increase but we'll see. Keep in mind though that assuming Benn's bounty conforms to Zoro's pattern of 60% it'd mean he'd have a bounty 2.4bil which is a whole bil more than the other top Yonko commanders. I'd say this is strong enough to indicate that Benn is built different from the rest of the so called YC1s. What you're implying is that Benn is going to be even more than that but again we'll see

The straw hats bounties are weird because Luffys is always inflated and the others deflated. And the admirals at 3 Billion is solid prestige, but that’s the level the old legends have been operating in, so the bounty that reflects their prime strength and danger level should be a level above that don’t you think?

Zoro is tricky since Rayleigh has rep better than most yonko yet Zoro's goal, Mihawk is 3.5bil, so my guess is if Mihawk is Zoro's ultimate goal then Rayleigh's bounty will be less than 3.6bil

same shit with Sanji, since Oda loves the 32 with Sanji, that means his final bounty will be 3.2bil which would make Gaban's like 3.1bil

Most likely Oda will go with puns for bounties.

Pun wise, I'm pretty sure Rayleigh should be at least 4 bil. But my common sense is saying that's a bit too high for a right hand man. I can't really see a right hand man having a higher bounty than individual emperors like Shanks, Big Mom, Kaido, etc. even if he's the RHM of the Pirate King himself.

So 3.5 to 3.9 bil range is probably a safe bet. I don't really want to overestimate bounties anymore from what Oda did in Wano.

Thing is even if Mihawk is stronger than Prime Ray which I think he is, he hasn't been part of a crew such the PK one much less being the VC so Ray bounty being above Mihawk's makes sense.

My guess is 3.9-4.2B so between 70-75% of Roger's bounty

It does make sense, but there is a limit to how much inflated your bounty should be imo

SHs are not really an exception here.
Doffy's seats -> 30% of Doffy's bounty
Kat -> 24% of Linlin's bounty
King -> 30% of Kaido's bounty
Marco - 27% of WB's bounty
Zoro -> Currently 37% of Luffy's bounty (i.e. at it's highest it's usually 60%)
Admirals -> 60% of Fleet Admiral Akainu's bounty

And even with be above considered (i.e. the fact that subordinate bounties are usually much lower than their Captain's in general), Zoro's bounty is usually a much higher percentage than most 1st commanders. Even his current bounty now is not the max percentage Oda has used for him but it's still the highest amongst all of the known Yonko commander bounties as a percentage of his captain's bounty. So SHs bounties are already higher on average than other crews in comparison to their Captain.

I'm not really sure exactly what you mean by level the old legends have been operating in.
Are you saying that the Old Legends are about as strong as Admirals hence Prime bounties should be higher than the Admirals?
Reason why I brought up Admiral bounties is coz it's kinda the easiest way for you to see how Oda views bounties with regards to how he assigns a leader's bounty in comparison to their subordinates. Plus Akainu's bounty is in Roger's range so it's easy to estimate Ray's bounty off that. Strength-wise/Prestige-wise, should Akainu really have 2bil more than your regular Admiral? Me and you both consider Akainu stronger than the rest of the Admirals but do you think gap is similar to Luffy/Zoro or do you think it's a Kaido/King type gap? If it's the earlier then wouldn't you say Zoro having a bounty of 3.7bil in comparison to Luffy's 5.6bil for example is fair? Or is that still too low even considering the above?


Again this is not a question of what I think Ray's bounty should be if we kinda separate him from the crew and assign bounties independently based on strength and prestige. If we did that then a bounty of 4bil for Ray would be fair but that's just not how Oda assigns bounties to subordinates.
