Controversial RELIGIONS & SPIRITUALITIES : Conversations

Your statements regarding religion and spirituality are consistently materialistic, negative and atheistic and your outlook on life seems cynical and nihilistic.
i am an atheist and am negative towards religions, sure. im not a materialist or nihilist though.

All religions may be true in their own way
if one religion states there is only one god and the next has multiple ones, they arent both "true in their own way".

yes, and obviously monotheism and polytheism dont share the same conception of god. and in islam christanity isnt even accepted as a different monotheistic religion because of the trinity.
When I say the same conception of god I'm saying that all of the gods of these religions have these attributes: the 4 omni attributes, simplicity, aseity, immutability and eternality

even if i would grant that, that doesnt mean the gods of different religions arent mutually exclusive. because they are.

since language is a way of communication and not a belief system making positive claims about our natural world and beyond, not at all.
Abrahamic approach again. Many ethic religions were/are less about the actual belief and more about the community and rituals. The constant questioning of the adherents' belief is a core element of messianic and missionaric religions .

Bruh some languages don't even have words for numbers. You only think that there a difference between one God and many gods because you're thinking in absolute numbers
well, adherents of monotheistic religions also think there is a difference, and they usually despise polytheistic religions because that undermines the superiority of their deity.

the abrahamic ones are the major religions
Doesn't make them more valid than others. Solely focussing on the abrahamic religions leads to a very limited understanding of religion and spirituality

Both have a point in their own way.

Would you describe Catholicism and Orthodoxy as monotheistic? The presence of saint worship doesn't differ from polytheistic worship. The only difference is that the word god is not used for the saints but they effectively occupy the same roles as pre Christian gods. The same development can be observed in mire recently converted overseas Catholic communities.

yeah but when i say different religions are mutually exclusive, its obviously (and i dont get the deflection and philosophical mumbojumbo really) about the claims of the religions about our world and beyond, such as creation myths, what supernatural realms (bhavachakra holds more supernatural realms than abrahamic religions) there are, views about the universe, explanations of phenomena that people didnt understand when the religion was created (such as lightning or earthquakes), etc etc etc.
