I hope Oda doesn't want to put that off until later. He missed the right moment. Only for the final arc I don't need Yamato in the crew, and certainly not in a three-pack with Momonosuke and Kin'emon.

10 crew members is a lot in a series like this where Oda can barely give the characters a meaningful role, so I'd rather she didn't enter.

At some point she has to go to sea, Wano is quite small so she can travel across the country in a matter of days (like Oden did), and she still has the ancestor weapon that is present in the country.

Oden was loaned by WB and even mentioned as being Stolen from WB by Roger for a temporary trip, Yamato can temporarily join a trip or two and that's it.

- Has own weird personality traits, larping
- Has unique appearance, shrine maiden outfit + two colors hair
- Has unique weapon choice different from other SH, kanabo
- Has different/from unique race, just like half of SH
- Has moments with Luffy, just like the other SH
- Has special goals, just like the other SH

- Is not a silent cool beauty like Robin or angry mischievous girl like Nami or naive pure woman like Vivi, so Yamato can fill other type/kind
- Is a direct frontal brawler unlike Nami Robin and Vivi

- Pure white color scheme has yet to mesh in the crew

Lastly but not least, the most important one to counter your saying :
- There are 2 skinny boys, 2 buff boys, 2 sexy girls, 2 big guys, but only 1 slender tall member, Brook. Yamato would fit the design composition.

Vivi doesnt seem interested in politics and time and again oda teases her return in story makes sense she will be final crew member.
