15 year old Shanks is based on assumption that Roger Pirates disbanded around that time and hence Shanks being able to show his talent would not be possible, it might even be earlier. Again the point is you dont mention something like that if it is not impressive. Its somewhat similar to Ray being included in the CoC blast at FMI comparison or Kaido being included in answer about strength or Akainu being mentioned as finishing OP in one year. Those are legit hype statements from the author.
Why should I discredit SBS as a source when Zoros family tree is revealed in it. Or how GB and Fuji backstories or Fuji having a SG sword are mentioned there too?

@Kōri no kokyū I tried searching for the Oda Q&A and I apologize that I thought it was from SBS. This special Oda Q&A was not part of SBS I think. And there is no timeline attached to the question and answer, I was basing my opinion on what had become generally accepted fact that Shanks copied Kamusari while he was with Roger Pirates and nobody else could do it and everybody was surprised that Shanks did it. Maybe some Shanks fans can share the full context and raws @Red Admiral @GalaxyLevelShanks etc.

Yeah thanks for the link, I also came across the same but didnt know how accurate it was and how some of the context was added. The problem from me is not the source since these are literal authors words.
From what you shared a whole different interpretation comes to mind which makes no mention of Shanks copying DD at 15 years old age. Rather it was a move that Shanks imitated because he was impressed by Roger and remembered it. He probably developed it later when he got ACoC. Also the not anyone part makes it sound like that it was not a Shanks exclusive thing but others could copy it (probably Ray and Oden).

That makes human age 38




Loki was around 10 giant age by then, Rocks simply didn't see any potential

In 10 chronological years, Rocks still has a child Loki and will continue to have one for at least another decade. In less than half that time, he has a fully adult Kaido.

Sub-adult Kaido to Adult Kaido in 3-4 years is far more worthwhile than Child Loki to Adult Loki in 20-30 years.

Are you understanding this yet?

Potential isn't of interest if you likely aren't going to live long enough to see it due to high risk occupation. Rocks fell at God Valley only a couple years after meeting Loki. Lol.

I said that the Marines can afford to take in a Giant and that Rocks can't because the former is part of a globe spanning empire and the latter is one group of pirates on a boat.

Marines can afford long term investments, pirate crews roaming around on a boat can't.

Meanwhile whitebeard Growing kids into Yonkou Commander.
There's no reason to take Kaidou either , a 15 yo kaidou would be taken out in CoC blast right away among top tier like Roger Garp xebec.

Pirates can totally do that , Roger was on time bomb due to his illness.
Bigmom grew her kids into Yonkou Commanders.
Also even Roger took in apprentice like Shanks and Buggy which gave a yonkou later on.

Pirates do that often. Nobody enters the sea thinking they will be done in 3 years.

Hell even Kaidou took in young King.

I understand the point of view of Marines planning for long term but Bigmom/Kaidou both wanted giants / Ancient giants.
