No it ain't bro. The title is not debatable. At least this time we Admiral/Yonkou and sword fanboys can all agree on the same thing.

The title of "King of the world" is directly superior to the "King of the pirates". New world is not an excuse since it belongs to the OP world.

Oda gave Imu unbelievable hype by the title alone and at the same lessened the value of Rogers's title. Roger even indirectly worked for Imu at God's valley.

Those of you who are hyping Ryuma based on how he stopped the enemies from entering Wano, is this your first time reading One Piece, that manga where rookie Luffy was directly targetted by the elders yet he's still waiting for an actual strong marine to chase him by their orders, or where pre-teen Linlin with 500 million on her head was deemed a very dangerous threat that needed to be cut off yet was only seen facing random soldiers? What guarantee we actually have that any relevant fighter ever went to Wano, exactly? Do we even have any precedent of that?

Not trying to sound rude here, but considering that we have no way to establish the power level of Kaido twenty years ago without first establishing Oden's power level, which at the same time depends on establishing Kaido's, and so on, you will understand that I don't intend to lose my time discussing something inherently circular.

Sure, but there is a HUGE difference between pushing someone to high diff, and actually beating/stalemating them. Also Ryuma was the WSS/WSM 400+ years ago while WB was the WSM a few decades ago; this certainly doesn't help Ryuma's case since one of the themes of this story is new surpassing the old. It's Shonen 101 actually

Deny it all you want, Sengoku ended the war, not Shanks and his 9 punks. They would've been stomped just like WBPs if Navy continued.
Ryuma protected Wano from the entire world that wanted Wano's gold. It is in New World, waters where fodder dont survive.
