I hope Oda does Sabo vs Akainu.
It would work with underdog vs top dog thing too.
Luffy needs to go to Im so Sabo can fight Akainu.
And lastly it will go well with the panel that Akainu says that "My powers are superior.".
That aint the end Sabo will prove that even a weaker df can win against a more powerful one.

He actually has. Even tho Luffy was there and Ace died in his arms, Sabo was also Ace's brother. Sabo is going to somewhat harder pain and suffering from Ace's death.
I'm not here to scale the range of suffering between the both but I guarantee you that not being able to be there for your brother's last moments and what's worse not even remembering him at the time and knowing you could've change that outcome or even try is as hard to swallow as seeing it in person.

Oda confirmed that the Magu Magu > Mera Mera twice. There's literally an entire tier of a difference between those two abilities.

- Awakened Magu Magu > Awakened Mera Mera
It's factually impossible for Sabo to defeat Akainu with the Mera Mera as the main reason, if anything it would have to be haki related to close the gap.

I don't think that. Sabo vs Akainu is entirely possible, i just want Luffy to fight him.
Also, adding another point to the topic. King who comes from a race known for their flame abilities creates a "Magma like" flame as his strongest move. It's apparent that for Oda Magma > Fire but knowing Oda he could change that whenever he feels like it.

Him beating Akainu is also entirely possible, it adds more to his character than Luffy beating Akainu imo.
He has much of a grudge towards Akainu, and Oda even gave him mera. I can see a brief confrontation between Luffy and Akainu then Sabo takes over.
Otherwise how will the events unfold? Luffy beats Akainu first then beats Imu’s ass? That doesn’t make sense powerscaling wise. Unless someone fully heals him before going directly to Imu or they beat the Navy first and regroup before challenging Imu.

It’s trash writing in my opinion. Sabo has no build up compared to Luffy. It’s like Naruto skipping the Pain fight and giving it Jiraiya’s brother who appeared out of nowhere to protect Naruto

And i respect your opinion but you should admit that Sabo fighting Akainu is a huge possibility.
I think Sabo's build up is started in Dressrosa. There is a reason he took Flame fruit.
Do not worry Oda told Magma>Fire in the manga too. He will show us that having a superior fruits doesnt mean everything.
