The gorosei very very rarely ever leave marijoa. This is most likely due to how detrimental it would be if one of the gorosei were to be captured. The thing that the world government values most, is their secrecy. This is because they know if their secrets were to be revealed that would lead to their downfall, and therefor would desperately do anything to prevent this from happening. The reason the gorosei are now willing to risk leaving marijoa is because the situation has become so desperate since vegapunk is studying the void century.


A gorosei leaving marijoa is extremely rare and there is not a chance he will simply return back to marijoa. Obviously Oda is going to make something out of this to advance the plot. The major incident is obviously going to be a gorosei being captured which will lead to more of the government's secrets being leaked. Oda has also said that he was going to reveal more and more about the void century secrets.


While Kizaru and the marines have their hands full fighting the strawhats, whatever person on the blackbeard ship will come and abduct saturn. Laffite is the perfect person to hypnotise saturn and make him spill everything. This will be the starting step for blackbeard to make his moves of becoming king of the world.

- Warrior God Title
- Disrespecting Akainu, a brutal magma man

i don't disagree with them being really strong or top tiers, I just don't think Saturn, who's old enough he has to carry a cane everywhere, is stronger than prime Garp(who's top 3-1 marines of all time).

Depends on their df - we have seen them getting transformed which might compensate for the drawbacks you said.

Narratively it does make sense for them to be atleast on par with Prime Roger if not above.

Roger started pirate era after getting one piece - and we know it's because he didn't achieve a goal - taking down WG.

Luffy already defeated Kaido - now only ones left are Teach and WG.

Considering all Luffy fights are extreme diff+ basic shonen logic (future big opponents generally are stronger) + WG being endgame then if SHs fight Gorosei then they might really be atleast on par with Roger

I think it is a great theory. Should have thought about it since Gorosei proved themselves to be strong fodders.

Would hype the shit out of Latiffe for the tards that thing Gorosei are top tiers. Would give the right excuse for marines to leave Egghead making Strawhats seem to have won the battle. And not having either Strawhats be defeated by Kizaru(most likely scenario) or Kizaru himself being defeated(0% possibility of happening).

look at Ju Peter, sweating over Shanks and Oldbeard meeting. Does that seem like something a Roger tier character would do?

Borsalino is also escorting Saturn too.

Plus, it's implied that Saturn, Kizaru and the rest of the marines are going to be defeated. No way the Straw Hats can handle a PK level character, an admiral,, the seraphim, and several vice admirals too.

They could be that strong, but I doubt it based off current information.

Luffy is not the type of person to care about kidnapping people to furfill some plan of his nor does he give a crap about politics. All hes going to do is fight people that are attacking his friends. Its much more in like for BBP to be sneaky and take advantage of the situation, if not then why are they even there?
