i don't disagree with them being really strong or top tiers, I just don't think Saturn, who's old enough he has to carry a cane everywhere, is stronger than prime Garp(who's top 3-1 marines of all time).

To be fair he might have a Lao G fighting style or something.
Also Oldbeard and Garp were still handling Admirals even when they got wounded.
Don't let their old age fool you. They still had my boy Sabo hauling ass out of their chamber when they transformed, even though Sabo wasn't scared of Issho or BB before.

yeah exactly, luffy and kizaru will be fighting and then when kizaru realises saturn has been taken it will give reason for kizaru to retreat, allowing oda to end the conflict without luffy or kizaru being defeated. It's so typical of what oda would do. Hyping up kizaru whilst also preserving luffys hype as the strawhats would still look like they won

Plus, it's implied that Saturn, Kizaru and the rest of the marines are going to be defeated. No way the Straw Hats can handle a PK level character, an admiral,, the seraphim, and several vice admirals too.

They could be that strong, but I doubt it based off current information.

And, I do agree that there are lot of "ifs" involved here but if Gorosei are strong then they are super strong.

they have been on the top of the world for decades, they have already made the moves. If the story is to progress then that needs to change, you think the story is about them just remaining at the top? because narratively it doesn't make sense for the newly crowned Straw Hat emperor crew to lose. Luffy's just been recognized as a proper emperor and has 3 poneglyphs. Really don't get the point in them having a major loss at this point in the story.

Plus, It was also said that there was a major incident going down at Egghead. An admiral, and one of the 5 publicly known leaders of the World Government getting defeated definitely would count as a major incident.

I think the recent battles that the 3 billion. supernova trio all got into parallel the Saboady incident. Kidd and Law's crews weren't defeated, but the Straw Hats were. Now, Kidd and Law's crews will be defeated while the Straw Hats will win.

Oda often draws sweat to create fake tension so I won't look much into it.

Major incident can be SHs taking control of egghead or Vegapunk and not necessarily defeat of kizaru or Saturn.


Ask yourself some questions - Why Saturn is there? To take control of seraphims?

If Saturn gets kidnapped or lose and kizaru loses then who will take control of seraphims?

Seraohims are yet to fleshed out properly so there is no way SHs are getting them. BB can but they don't even have full crew over there - just Lafitte and Devon.

Also, this is the first time any Gorosei is making a move. Really don't think Oda will make Saturn lose or gets captured during his intro move and take away hype from other Gorosei as well.

I've being saying this the whole time. Still too soon for any Admiral to go down. They are for final war. And no way Oda would make Luffy and CIA look bad right now. He will find a way to have both looking good.

Yeah, that's fair, especially since they specifically needed Mother Flame to be a threat to their enemies.
I also wonder what they'd do if Shanks saw Imu there.. Would they pursue him, or just let him go because they couldn't really do much against him?

I think the way they act if Shanks saw Imu would depend on a few things:

What Imu tells them to do. Maybe he'd want to speak with Shanks

The relationship between Garling and Shanks. They probably don't want to alienate Garling and the Holy Knights.

Whatever political power Shanks and the Figarland family has.

The time period. If it took place during Levely, there's chances that ppl like Wapol will see what's going on.

I do think that Gorosei would destroy Shanks in a 5v1, even without Imu interfering btw, but it would probably cause some noticable destruction that would attract unwanted attention

If they just steal him and don't do that... then it won't be an issue. It would be a good way for Blackbeard to twist the Navy's arm if they had Saturn, but they already have Garp.

Vegapunk will be Saturn's direct oponnent this arc. I believe with him it may be possible to weaken Saturn to a point he's vulnerable and as always the BBP's will swoop in at the right time.

I don't think Blackbeard wants to talk to them. More like trying to find a way to get in Mariejois then using his Darkness DF. So he used Koby hoping to get the 5 elders to recognize them so he could attend next Reverie but that one failed.
