General & Others Say a criticism about a character you love

Sanji .. too pervert .. it is getting annoying , i understand jokes but too much. when you have to see that again when ever we see him.

The goal of this thread is to admit that even if you love a character in One Piece, he/she isn't perfect and that there is as least one thing you dislike about him/her.

I will start with my favorite admiral, Fujitora. While he's one of my very favorite marines and characters in One Piece I think he drops his guard too often and too easely as shown with him using too much his meteor technique in Dressrosa and him allowing Luffy (and possibly the Revos too) to hit him.

Sanji : The whole girl gag has gotten annoying / DONT BAKE FIGHT
Oden : WHY DIDN'T YOU CALL RAYLEIGH OR WB OR Saint Shanks

Sanji : sometimes his pervert side his annoying. FI was atrocious for that part, it was a lot too much.
His lust for women can be fun and a lot of jokes made me laugh in the 20 years of One piece but it can't become ridiculous.

Or maybe we just got old

Ace - shouldn't have replied to Akainu's provocation. I know plot wanted him to die(Oda wanted him to die since his introduction), but the way he did it was pure bullshit. Characterization-wise it made sense though since he is like Roger, who never turns his back against an enemy if he feels his pride, the thing he is fighting for is getting insulted, or the one he cares for is in danger(Luffy), but he shouldn't have done that. However Oda(plot) decided otherwise

It's not that. It's just Oda is not giving time to write "new comedy jokes".
Even For Brook, his skull jokes, and asking to see panties
With Nami and money jokes
With Zoro being lost

It's just comes down to Oda. He needs to be the one who come up with new jokes.

Honestly, Oda did sone sort of Stockholm Syndrome effect on me because I used to hate Sanji's perv gag but now I sort of look forward too them. Either
A) I'm indifferent to them
B) I find them fun

I think "Perveted Stealth Black" is actually a good one lately.
Because the different thing about it is that Sanji in "Stealth Black" looks more serious, and he actually didn't make any face when he was close to Nami's body. And with his mask, and nosebleed covering and painting the mask. It actually looked "spot on" and funny.

Because it feels like more funny when it comes from a "more serious looking" Sanji. And right at th same time, we had two supernova talking about "Stealth Black" and being the "real deal" and all. It was actually done right.

Zoro: You need to laugh more and be a man who actually engage with the crew, not just watch them from the outside. Also, many of your one-liners do not land.

Luffy: You need to stop goofing off and declaring things even when you are nowhere near doing it. And stop putting your crew in danger for your own amusement.

Me too. But if he makes those weird lip faces and toungue shit. That is a turn off.

Sanji - I have love and hate relationship with his character. He annoys me at shit when he fans at every girl not funny anymore right now .

My criticism for Mihawk is that he coasts by on his reputation. I wish he would do more to prove why he holds the title. But on the other hand, his lazy attitude and arrogance/confidence are just more things I love about him.

Agreed. I really didn’t like that Luffy’s reason for helping Rebecca was “she bought me lunch”.

like come on Oda, we know Luffy is childish but stop making him like a 5 years old.

Actually that is fine.....there is no need of grand reason for him to help someone and that is actually one of his best qualities.....the point is why Oda let him make stupid things sometimes like wasting energy in Bellamy, not going all out in the fight, fighting Kaido head on, doing the same thing ace did when Bigmom provoked him....that is what irritates me most
