Speculations Scopper Gaban is in Wano with Marco?

we are introduced to the mystery man in this page

look at the bottom right

he seems to know marco but it doesn’t seem to know him as a crew member

now look at this

their outfits match so we know this guy knows marco but not as a crew member and he also knows crocus as friend as to drink

i think it’s a roger pirate it could be any roger pirate but scopper gaban is the only gold roger pirate that had a dialogue in the story that is neither confirmed to have died or already appeared in the story so he has no role and this in my opinion is perfect role for him

what do you guys think?

- If Izo has blonde/long hair now. Then mystery person with Crocus was always Izo.

- If Izo has a similar design to pre-timeskip, then it's clear mystery person is still a mystery.

- It's possible Oda is being super coy right now and BOTH Izo (last chapter) and this mystery person (this chapter) at eom the ship.

Mentioned this the moment the spoiler pics dropped 2 days ago. We don't know. Izo is clear on the ship. We saw their face. We just don't know if Izo has that coat or if they are the same person Crocus met either OR if they are 2 different people

Actually, I think I potentially discovered something huge:

With this, above scan, it was really hard to tell if Izo's hair was blonde or black. But with the official scans, you can clearly tell Izo's hair is black and in the exact same hairstyle as pre-timeskip:

ON TOP OF THIS, look at Izo's robe above, it does not resemble the one shown in this chapter, there are no solid stripes. Its plainly just a white (or slightly purple in color) robe with a dark collar as in pre-timeskip:

This means two things possibly:

- Izo is 100% NOT the person Crocus is talking to. They still have black hair, not long blonde hair.

- Izo is POTENTIALLY not the only person Neko brought to Wano. Its possible Izo was shown last chapter (981) and the person talking to Marco (982) are entirely different people.

Please, PLEASE let us get a resolution to this in the next chapter...we have already discussed this subject so many times, what is left to say unless Gaban is confirmed to be there?! Even if by some bizarre twist, it ends up NOT being Izo in that panel, we have little reason to think it’ll be Roger’s presumptive left hand man.

To add to this. If Izo seemingly looks similar to his/her pre-timeskip design (similar robe and hair), why is Oda hiding Izo?

I personally think Oda is playing at something by trying to make us assume only Izo was brought to Wano.

Unless Izo's robe changes design halfway down, the robe in 981 does not match the one spotted in 982.

My only thought is that this will be his first appearance since the timeskip, so Oda wants to do his usual big reveal even if the character looks exactly the same. We only just got the “official” reveal of Kurozumi Kanjuro this chapter, this is well within his usual motif.

Idk, it looks way to defined to be shading I feel like. Granted, it could just be part of Izo's robe that had flowers on it pre-timeskip, note its just stripes.


But it is an interesting design choice considering Oda has YET to introduce mystery character with the same exact stripe patterns

Oden's death was fake and Kanjuro is Kozuki Sukiyaki with makeup.

But scopper has been shown to have black hair in the manga, anime and colored manga...
unless as he ages he becomes more blonde instead of grey- it's not scopper
