Well, it did little sense to me why would Shanks knock out Coby there for free. I mean, he blocked Akainu and at the same time released basic CoC to knock out Coby? For what?

Btw, he released a MINIMUM amount of it in that scene with Akainu. And HOW we know this?
Well, because in this chapter GB was dozens of miles away and Shanks needed to go all out, which made all his rookies to faint.
This didn't happen in the MF scene, only Coby was affected.

Can you imagine Shanks paralyzing a Yonko with this?

Akainu's magma punches do not distinguish between fodders and non-fodders. He uses his muscular force to propel his magma fist through tissue. Plus, Akainu was bloodlusted the entire time and saw in Coby a marine traitor who does not want to stand up for justice.

The reason is simple I mean, you make it look like only the movement counts, without counting for whether or not he embedded haki in his punch and what his speed was.

I'm talking solely about Akainu's punch, which he used against several people, including Whitebeard (in the chest), Jinbe and Coby, which is the same punch. Meigou is just Akainu charging forward. Of course Akainu has stronger moves, especially when awakened, it's just that there is no need to make a difference between fodder and non-fodder when it comes solely to a point blank punch.

Think he is very likely using CoC, the only difference is that at the time Oda hadnt came up with the design for Haki yet.


If it was chapter made today, most likely there would be a lot of black lighting and Shanks blade would be coated.

Would be cool to see Marineford remake with CoA and CoC designs, especially coating, as without the visual sign Oda had to make the characteres tell when someone was using Haki

Yes they gave the incorrect translation. It doesn't' say he was going all out.

Even if he was "going all out", it would only refer to Shanks not holding back his CoC release which spans over a country. Imagine Shanks boosts his blade with that enormous CoC, in addition to his armament to go into CqC. He would turn Aramaki to pulp.

No idea, that's what I got from where I saw the chapter.
Anyway, the facts presented are clear even without an accurate translation. In MF = only Coby KO, in this scene = Shanks' rookies KO.
So that means he was releasing it at full in this chapter and by the context it makes sense since GB was far away and he is a top tier.

They are sweating because they are trying to move but they can't since the CoC paralysis ability.
I mean, I actually never believed that thing about Akainu being scared of Shanks. It was fun to tease Admiralturds, but not really something logic.

He punched with CoC just like Kaido, Luffy and Zoro was doing with their attacks. The punched didn't reached Coby but CoC did.

Who said Akainu didn't used CoC in the rest of the battle? People can control their CoC so they don't knock out nakamas.
