Even though I am not a kidd fan but I don't think kidd could have dodged that.

Not only he was about to fire the cannon but he got taken by surprise by shanks - this brief second of distraction along with shanks quickly using Divine departure played role in why Kidd was not able to dodge.


Only way out for him was to have something stronger and that too quickly at shanks to counter him but I don't think his cannon meets the requirement.

If he would have known shanks will pop up I do feel he wouldn't have gone for cannon
