Future Events Smoker in Wano? Any chance?

Being a character who I liked from start it is sad see him become so under whelming after timeskip. For oda to make him relevant after now he will have to atleast become yc4/3 lvl to go after strawhat.

Marine have said they might come, any chance smoker come with them and if he does who do you think he fight? I personally want to have him fight Snack or a strong flying six like samurai flying six.

I think it's possible he and Tashigi may come, along with other marines but in either act 4 or 5 of Wano arc if the marines come.

No, I don't think we'll get anymore newcomers except Nekomamushi with some Whitebeard Pirates.

Both the former and current Fleet Admirals have both said they aren't getting the Marines involved in Wano.

Also, why should Smoker, or another Marine, get to show up at the end of the arc and get a fight? We've spent seventy odd chapters building up all the current characters grudges against Kaido and Orochi, it would be very strange writing for some random characters coming in and stealing the cathartic moment of actually defeating the Beast Pirates. Whitebeard Pirates (especially Izo) would work as they also were Oden's former crewmate, but no one else.

If anything, CP0 are getting involved after the battles are done.

Smoker's someone who Oda has used throughout the arc he's been involved in. Expect to see a catch-up with him in the after arc "rest of the world reacts to Strawhat antics" chapter, and that'll set him up getting involved in the plot again.

There still the vegapunk subplot where Occhi wants him and we know Smoker and Tashigi are with him by now.
Vegepunk should be the only man that can cure the smile disease because he made a completed smile fruit with no side effects. So he must know how to cure the wano citizens. Which Oda made clear where the citizens can't even show emotions and can only laugh/smile.

Then the whole sword situation where X drake can sneak backup because Kaido has no clue he is part of sword.

So yeah there is a big chance for Smoker and other marines to appear in Wano. I expect them to appear in act 4 or act 5 if Wano is truly going be the longest arc yet.

Highly unlikely, but not impossible. He was at Marineford, which this arc is supposed to be paralleling (albeit weakly), and the Vegapunk connection that @Balen pointed out is solid, seeing that Orochi specifically requested CP0 bring him to the country, Smoker could feasibly show up that way. To be clear, I don’t really think it’s a slam dunk that he’s gonna appear, but every person in this thread/on this forum has been wrong about One Piece time and again, so there’s a chance!

Nah, Vegapunk arc post-Wano. Its why he hasnt been seen at all during the reverie/post-reverie and why Caesar/Judge are entirely MIA. They are probably a focus in the next arc with Bonney/Kuma, as well as the whole Sabo/Vivi business.

I doubt it tbh... since Smoker and Tashigi are in Vegapunk’s island it would be better to have them stay there only for SHs to arrive there which is quite possible and at that point we can see an even stronger smoker and Tashigi with the help of the mad scientist!

Yes. And that is due to the SMILE fruits. Vegapunk is the only one in the world who could have any means of reverting their side-effects. This will consequently mean G-5 comes with him.

My honest opionion is, that it is possible that Smoker shows up in Wano and there are reasons why:

- Orochi said he wants Vegapunk, sure the WG wont give him to Orochi, but Oda did not place this sentence just to be a "no wont happen" line. So there has to be anything happening regarding this scene.
- There are a lot of theories out there, that Kaido has somekind of connection to Vegapunk. I dont think i have to explain them all to you, you are surley aware of it. If there is any kind of connection be it, Vegapunk has anything to do with the Dragon Devil Fruit (because of Momos Fruit), or Vegapunk has made any kinds of experiments on Kaido, than its highly likely that he wants to show up by himself. Maybe he wants to see his Experiment Kaido. Or he wants to learn more about the Dragon Devil Fruit. Or he wants to learn more about the Smiles. Maybe they just come to catch some of Kaidos Gifters.
- We know from Oda that a certain character will explain the Devil Fruits to us. I still think that this will be Vegapunk. if thats the case, after the whole Smile duplicating devil fruit theme, it would be the best time to explain us readers the devil fruits more detailed.
- We have a characters like Killer or the whole Ebisu people. With their horrible disease that they always have to smile. The only person right now i can image could maybe cure this is Vegapunk. I just still cant imagine, Killer being forever this jolly guy.
- If Kaido really is an experiment of Vegapunk, maybe he has a way of destroying him, and thats what he tells the WG and thats why they say okay you can go.
- If one of these cases comes true and Vegapunk gets to Wano, he wont go alone, he will be escorted by many strong marines or even the CP0. And most possibly Tashigi and Smoker because at the moment they are at his labour.
- But even if Vegapunk does not go to wano there could be another reason why Smoker and Tashigi enter Wano. They went to vegapunk to cure those Kidss from Punk Hazard. But what if he cannot do it? Maybe he needs something for research. Maybe he says something like "i would need a smile fruit or smile fruit user, to make some research about its composition". And so maybe even without the Marines knowing, they wanna go to Wano just to get a Smile or one of Kaidos Subordinates. And somehow without them wanting, find themselves in the Middle of the War on Onigashima.
