Lol that means ? What you didn’t like ?
Even if we ignore, IF WE IGNORE CANON like the writers are because Vader and Obi met before ep 4, and Anakin wants to torture Obi despite never wanting to in ep 4.

And we say it's alright that he wants to torture and taunt him. What even was that incompetent ending? Vader seemed so great in the episode, even calling Obi weak, then he suddenly couldn't do shit anymore over a tiny fire? He pushed Obi away and undid the Fire 1.0 in the first place!!! Just grab him with the Force! "Bring him to me"? Like, what the fuck?

Now Fire 2.0 comes into play and suddenly Vader is entirely powerless to the fire and the damned droid who's taking Obi away. :lawsigh:

Even their dialogue as the first meeting after a tragic event was so dumb, but the ending script made me lose braincells.

Episode started out so great, I love how Obi is slowly realising things and changing, and I loved how terrifying Vader was (until he became incompetent because reasons since the mc needs to run away).

If Legends continuity hadn't been stopped I would have loved to see a series around Star Wars: Legacy saga, with Cade Skywalker, Darth Krayt and his One Sith order and the Fel Empire and its Imperial Knights.

haha yeah the end of the fight was stupid.

lol one girl with a pistol and one tiny fire can stop Vador ?

Maybe it was Vador who let OW escape because he was too weak ? Maybe some hesitation in the end ?

But if they wanted to portray Vador as fully serious this cartoon end was weird.

Yeah I felt the dialogues about their meeting was lackluster too. I wanted more from their first reunion.

The only thing about torture, etc that I can understand : Vador here is way younger than during the ep 4. Likely less experienced, still mad at Obi Wan, full of hatred etc. Vador in ep 4 was maybe less vengeful because 20+ years happened.

Overall I’m mixed about that episode

Darth Vader sort of forgot he had the force there guys
He was so great while he was killing people, what the fuck happened :jackcopium:

He's been looking for him for ten years. He wouldn't let him escape for 0 reasons.

This is 10 years after he became Vader, and another 9 passes until episode 4. He had 10 years to think about this, he isn't "way younger". THIS is Vader at his prime and it's bad writing.

I didn't like Vader's entrance. It was him waltzing around a random shitty town lol. It didn't feel very powerful, besides him randomly choking out people.

Leia and Luke are ten in the show ? They seems younger.

i forgot it was announced before that 10 years happened.

20 years and 10 years is a difference 🤷‍♂️
I don’t know I’m trying to find reasons. Maybe a more experienced and older Vador doesn’t want to play with his food. We can rationalize it saying he changed a bit.

The torture things didn’t bother me at all. The ending letting OW escaping and being helpless against a candlelight was bad writing. They needed to bring an X-Wing to make it believable.

Yeah, it's very bad writing. As well as the Third Sister "detective" work

The other thing which bothers me is Obi not even considering that Anakin was alive for 10 years. I know where he left him, but hello, there's a masked right hand of the Emperor? Not heard of him?

Sigh, I loved this ep until I hated it

Lol don't rationalize bad writing, call it out so they do better.

Vader didn't play with his food on Mustufar before being in the suit and he's only more miserable and angry since. If he doesn't have a reason to torment someone, Vader hasn't done so long enough to let them live.

It's really dumb. Obi Wan saw the hologram of Palpatine calling Anakin "Lord Vader". If someone is running around with that title, Obi should know about them and know it's Anakin.

And considering rumors of a Jedi can reach Inquisitors of a rogue Jedi stopping a bar fight in the armpit of the Galaxy, the info of the vicious and cruel Vader easily should've made it to Tatooine years ago.
