This is a simple shadowing. With just this pic, people should be able to guess the propriety of the fruit. The actual name ("Nika") is part of the revelation so it didn't needed to be foreshadowed during the time skip. What matter was the propriety of the fruit:

We could also make the link with a possible toon force by this very panel:
The gear 5 was under our nose this entire time.

I was banned on Reddit by Kirosh back in 2013-14 simply because I asked how strong is Kaido and Big Mom. If they are strong, why we dont have their fights against other top tiers, etc.
But I have stopped One Piece rants. Likewise, you dont need to justify Oda's actions.
At the end of the day, individuals decide how they view the story.
It can be a master piece for you and trash for others.
We need to draw a line where OP cultists start to think it is a sin to criticize One Piece.
