Powers & Abilities Sword clarification

It seems to be missed, so it needs to be said.

A person who uses a sword can have stronger haki than another person who uses a sword without being a better swordsman.

Warcury’s haki is more powerful than Zoro’s, but Zoro is a better swordsman.

A person can be the greatest swordsman in the world and lose to a person whose armament is simply too strong for them to cut. Just because Zoro and Mihawk are the best swordsman, characters like Shanks and Nusjuro can defeat them, even in a sword fight, because of their haki.

Correct.
That's why Shanks loses to Mihawk, because Mihawk's haki is the strongest in the world.

Is this another attempt to bypass Mihawks title cope around its significance :suresure:
Nope, but I have seen this mistake made multiple times. I put Mihawk in the top 10, not top 1 like Mohawk trolls. Just pointing out that if he loses, even to a person who uses a sword, it doesn’t mean that person is a better swordsman.

The better swordsman is the one who can do things like deflect bullets without looking with the tip of his blade (Mohawk) even if the winner of the fight is someone with superior armament/a devil fruit ability, even if they use a sword.

s, but Zoro is a better swordsman.
Wrong

the only measure of “better swordsman” ever presented in the series is winning fights

there has never been a fight in the series where Zoro has lost yet he was “decreed” the better swordsman… And vice versa… Zoro has never won a fight and then been decreed the lesser swordsman

The one AND ONLY measure of who is a “better swordsman” as displayed in the one piece manga is “THE WINNER OF THE FIGHT”

kuina is a better swordsman than Zoro because she beat him 2001 times

Zoro is a better swordsman than Cabaji because he beat him

mihawk is a better swordsman than Zoro because he beat him

Zoro is batter swordsman than Hachi because he’s beat Hachi

Zoro is a better swordsman than Zombie Ryuma Brook with Brook’s fighting style but Ryuma’s strength and intuition because Zoro beat Zombie Ryuma

Oda has never written a fight in which a “lesser swordsman” won or a “better swordsman” lost and HE WILL NEVER WRITE such fights since they go against his entire point

you would have a point if mihawk was the best/most skilled swordsman instead of the strongest.

There doesn’t have to be a decree.

Enel beat Zoro, but Zoro is still a better swordsman. Just a fact.

Enel isn’t a swordsman so… that’s a moot point

zombie Ryuma not only had Brook’s entire fighting style, “brook was the the top swordsman of his entire home country”… But Ryuma was slowly regaining his former fighting prowess and because his body was so powerful, Ryuma was improving on Brook’s won fighting style

Brook himself said he couldn’t perform the Air slash techniques that Zombie Ryuma was performing even though the zombie was literally just using Brook’s own fighting style

as per the story Brook’s fighting style was being enhanced by Ryuma’s returning fighting intuition and Ryuma’s own body capabilities

And yet Zoro won

So who is the better swordsman? Can you actually measure who is the better swordsman between zombie Ryuma and Zoro?…. Zombie Ryuma has a high class Sword style that is being improved by the literal GOD OF SWORDSMEN Ryuma’s skill and body… Why do you think Zombie Ryuma is a “lesser swordsman” than Zoro? In the story why is that?… Well… Because Zoro won

since Zoro won the fight, Zoro is definitively the better swordsman

and thats all there is to it… the better swordsman ALWAYS WINS

rest of your post was a waste of time
Yeah, it should be moot? That’s literally the entire point of my post.

“World’s best swordsman” and “world’s strongest person who fights with a sword” don’t have to be the same person

''Missed'' and said for the 10 000th time, sure.
This has been used as a downplay point for years, there's even a user here who never writes WSS because it would hurt him somehow but instead writes WGS to say that Mihawk isn't the strongest but the greatest...as if there was a difference.
But here you are discovering room temperature water and trying to pass it as a new thing that nobody found out before. Good job.

I think it’s a little warmer than room temperature considering how little people seem to listen to what is apparently an obvious point

What's the point exactly ?
If a footballer loses a basket-ball game, he is still a better footballer than the basketer ? LoL ?
Incorrect, but your analogy has merit. It is actually like comparing their athleticism. The football player may in fact be a better athlete than the basketball player despite losing at basketball.
Hence, if Zoro loses to Shanks, as an example, Zoro could still be a better swordsman but not a stronger fighter, even though Shanks is also a swordsman.

Who decides who is a ''better swordsman'' ? You speak as if this was some kind of tournament with judges...

the most powerful swordsman in the world, that's Mihawk's fucking title. In Japanese, it's "sekai saikyo no kenshin"
