There will be no big fight for Luffy this arc. He will let Loki defeat Gunko, so that the prince gets rehabiliated (similar to how Jinbe let Luffy defeatd Hody, to repair relations between humans and fishfolk). The arc will abruptly end. Saint RedHair Pirates, Blackbeard Pirates+Kid will show up, Luffy will find out that Barto and Law are about to be executed on New Marineford. Saint Shanks takes on Teach, Luffy hurries to Navy HQ.

nah he is to weak. oda had all the chance to make his dad look formidable but he chose not to

...in every other way, it makes no sense whatsoever. There are GunkoImu and DomiLoki as better alternatives.

The amount of nerfs Shamrock would be bombarded by and the illogical moves Shamrock would have to pull for that to happen would be off the charts. Luffy vs Kaido is the worst fight in the show because of similar shitshow, the amount of plot armor needed and Luffy vs Shamrock would make that fight look cute on a shitshow scale.

It is true tho that GunkoImu doesnt really have the makings of a Luffy opponent either but I might be wrong here.
How would GunkoImu even fight Luffy? Like Enel? Or through some hax like Foxy/Caesar?
Loki seems like that type of fighter but Domified Loki would be way above Luffy's paygrade, even normal Loki is.

Wouldn’t the point of shamrocks sword being turned into a big ass dog be enough reason for shamrock not fighting like a legit swordsman

Has that changed the fact that those dogs have pierced Loki as a legit swordsman would do?
One attack and Loki is on a deathbed... Now try to apply that to Luffy who gets hit countless times.

There´s no reason for Shamrock to have left the arc early on if he was the main villain, Shamrock was only ever brought on Elbaf so Oda could establish that Saint Shanks had an evil twin brother

That’s because swords growing out of the dogs mouth. Oda can easily write Luffy avoiding those then getting beat up by shamrock

If the fight were to happen, I am quite sure Luffy would be fighting the dogs instead of swords.
I have no doubt about that but those are the nerfs I talked about.
We already saw it with Cracker. He ended up fighting biscuits instead.
