Zoro has been constantly highlighted to understand a person feeling and personality, and how to behave in the most different situation better than anyone else in the show.

He knew he had to coldly scold Rika to prevent her from risking her life to bring Zoro her homemade onigiri.
He knew also what to tell to Luffy to tell her after, when she was safe, to make her feel better about herself and the food she had made. Only 19 but perfect father already.

He knew something was fishy with Nami at Arlong Park, despite only knowing Nami for a short period of time.

He knew what to say to Chopper when he was on a meltdown during the Davy Back Fight because afraid of losing his friends forever.

He knew how to keep the crew steady when with Robin and Usopp betrayals the risk was to disband if any other member started doubting Luffy.

He is the first to understand that something went wrong at Zou, by just looking at Nami body language.

And there are many other moments that I am obviously missing.

On the other hand nikajoyboy, all he does is forcing his own ideal into the people he meet. He is clueless about how to behave, and always uses the same approach with everyone, because all that matter to him is himself and his goal.

Yes to all of this! Zoro may not have a lot of panel time, but Oda sure makes them count! Without Zoro the crew would fall apart. I have always enjoyed the strong, silent, and steady characters.
