Allowing easy access to abortion isn't the way to teach these teens to be more responsible IMO. Most of them do what they do because they know they don't have to face the long-term consequences of their actions. I believe we need to be more careful with how we raise our children so that we don't have to murder the innocent over pointless mistakes.

Everyone wants to do whatever they want to do. Unfortunately for us, our actions and decisions have consequences whether we like them or not. We all know contraceptives could fail even if it's rare, but we still sign up for it knowing the consequences, so we must face them instead of looking for an easy way out, which comes at the cost of destroying a potential life. Again, I've got nothing against abortions in general, but I just think the trade-off should at least be fair.
Ok, then let's ruin these teenagers lives and futures. Nah bro, at least own up to not being pro choice. Abortion ain't pretty, but all women should have access to it if they need it.

Ok dude look up history and you'll see that abortion was not invented by westerners
I made it clear that I am not fully anti-abortion. I support abortion when there is a medical issue or when the woman was raped into pregnancy. But I do NOT support abortion as a mean to escape responsibility.

And western philosophy is "my body my choice", which absolutely doesn’t sync with our values.

I don't care how you want to label me. It's basic humanity.
Because you don't consider fetus human, right? Your society has created a line where fetus is not human.

Mine hasn't yet. And I don't want you people trying to change it. If my people spontaneously come to the conclusion, I will be okay with it. But not if you people start propagandize it.

May I ask where you live?

As if all Asian or non western countries have the same values. You don't speak for the entire eastern hemisphere.

I don't get why people find it so hard to reach a middle ground. Again, it's easier to tell these teens to control their urges and take precautions than to give them a free pass for their mistakes. Abortion should be legal everywhere, but it shouldn't be a tool to skip responsibility; hence, it needs to be regulated.

Control their urges? Why? it's natural. If they want to have sex then let them. No one here is against contraceptives dude. Nobody wants unwanted pregnancies.

I believe abortion is "necessary"
I dont think forcing people to have kids they don't desire is good, both for the mother and the kid
That said in my country abortion can only carried out to 12 weeks after conception as latest. I'm baffled that they can abort through something like the 22nd week without issue in America.

so they said as adults they never should've been born ?
I interviewed 20 kids for my thesis and IRC around 18 said they wished they were never born.

Anyway my point being was suffering is not antilife. and our attitude that it is somehow quite shortsighted.
most of the great man of history have used it to make great things.
imo if one daimond is formed from thousand of coal, its worth it. but thats my personal opinion kinda aligned with nature.
So you would sacrifice 999 lives just for 1?

That is absurdly ridiculous

so you want to punish the babies with horrible parents and a life time of shit

just to teach teens a lesson? is that it?
Let's say these teens wish to keep the baby. Are they still gonna be horrible parents still? Why do we pretend every single couple with an unplanned pregnancy is going to be a horrible parent? How about we teach kids to be more careful before they make a mistake instead of giving them a legal way out?
