Powers & Abilities The Average One Piece Fan Can't Understand Haki Because They Don't Understand Cultural Differences

#81
Hi Worstgen,

You guys will never understand Haki because you have challenges with intercultural communication and the understanding of other societies.

Haki is a spiritually based energy that uses Eastern philosophical belief systems.

If you're Western and you don't understand Eastern philosophies and your comprehension of the story hinges on how you incorrectly interpret it then you will NEVER understand how things like Haki actually work.

Ah! But the apple in your mind is perfect and if you drew one it wouldn't be. The same is true of a triangle. When did the triangle first exist? When you drew it? Or did you imagine it first and if you imagined it then where did that shape originally come from?

It came from Heaven.
So in conclusion, you have a carrot up your ass, right? :zorothink:

Such understandings are what you fail to notice.

Theory of form and the realm of ideas and how it relates to Buddhism and Ancient Greek philosophy.
I suggest you to write a thread of your understanding of Haki. Because maybe you have some interesting thoughts.

I already did. It's called What is Haki? EXPLAINED

But it's going to just leave more questions than answers I promise that because it includes knowledge of the entire universe...

And many many more philosophies... See Hermetic Qabalah per example.

Like I said, those are some of my favorite themes in fiction (The Invisibles, Promethea...) and I would love Oda to go there.

(Like God = the creator = Oda, Heaven = Energy = Oda's imagination (and yours and mine)...
Love the theory that Luffy's ultimate power is to just be a rubber per example...)

What I would love even more is those themes being more and more present in the series as we reach the end... and Luffy just doesn't care lol

Hermetic Qabala is just another ancient belief from a society that may have believed in a form of Life Light. So, they aren't any different from most other ancient societies, but they all have this innate understanding of the universe just slightly different in context.

It would just be another case of Luffy saying it's a foreign country but whatever they call it - he knows it as Haki. Like with the Ryuo thing in Wano.

That is Luffy... probably the dumbest guy in the story... properly adapting his behavior to another cultural society. Something people here could benefit from learning.

Everyone could benefit from this, you included dude... Why try to separate you from us by pushing your intellect in our face ?

Most of history's real geniuses (Oda included) were or are really humble. Be humble, please ?

Lol, haven't heard about this. Context pls?
So basically in order to not concede Zoro is trying against Lucci, Zoro fans are claiming that the black lightning that emits from Zoro's blades when he has green aura on his blades(KoH), is not advCoC but just CoA.

In other words they chose to adopt Rootbeer's teachings than give Lucci some credit. No one should ever talk shit about rootbeer again, he was far ahead of the game.

Who adopted this mindset now.. I don't see any Zoro fans claiming that..

Thanks for holding people accountable with a post like this. Normally between the battles of the Zoro, Luffy fans and Admiral fans, a character like Lucci would totally be lost and totally disregarded for the sake of the agenda wars. I know you're not the only one, but I am glad there are at least a small few who hold Lucci in high regard.

Let's not forget that Lucci is a character who has basically sacrificed his soul for effectiveness as a serving assassin, and individual combat power. He serves the Celestial Dragons, and has almost no personal morality, and basically no particularly strong emotional attachment as a consequence. It's only fair for him to have attained great combat capability in exchange for basically lobotomizing his own heart.

Moreover, it was mentioned back in Water 7 that he is a prodigy - iirc one of the most efficient assassins in WG history.

I don't remember if it was you particularly, Zen, but I remember someone suggesting that Lucci likely had a capacity to surpass even Kizaru in the near future. Some of the Admiral fans were quite upset at that comment, and ridiculed it... but it was actually quite reasonable. Rob Lucci is only 30 years old compared to Kizaru's 58 years. He is literally almost half Kizaru's age and already fighting at this high of a level. It's pretty crazy.
