Sanji did what he was ordered to do. Taking charge afterwards is admirable. But that doesn't mean he was a great leader, because him taking charge ended with Luffy having to rescue him from Yonkous with only half of his crew.
so just because he was ordered to get the crew to zou you can disregard everything he did during his leadership? ok

Luffy and Zoro's leadership styles are similar, which is why they often get each other more than the other SHs do. Essentially they are action first type leaders, charging in head first which others then follow. Zoro's essentially the right hand to Luffy, when he puts his foot down it's usually in relation to Luffy as the Captain, meanwhile, Sanji is more of the rep for the rest of the SHs, where he voices and considers the needs of the others and not just Luffy's. It's why Sanji is more suited to being a protector of the weakling trio.

The thing is whether King is stronger than Katakuri or not will not change the fact that the one beating him is YC1 level. Except if people think that the gap between the two is humongous which is ridiculous imo.
Tell that to Luffy fans. If Sanji ends up beating King, do you think Luffy fans will accept Sanji as YC1? No, they won't. They will say that King is far weaker than Katakuri. Hades already did that.

But the same Luffy fans will say that Zoro fans are the ones who bash Sanji. The truth is, nobody wants Sanji to win against King other than Sanji fans, nobody. Not Kid fans, not Law fans, not Luffy fans, nobody.

Yet everybody seems to be bent on portraying Zoro fans as the villains.
