Tbh ch 1000 just being the cliche panels of Kid, Law and Luffy facing Kaido at the end would be a bit underwhelming.

But that's the most likely option too. I hope act 3 ends on 999, but I doubt Oda will miss the opportunity to include Luffy in that.

The best way to tackle that problem is- end the act on 998, full outside Wano chapter for 999 and half outside and the other half back in Wano for 1000. (similar to 925)

This solves everything

I hope we get very linear chapters and this act ends soon. Something like:
- 998: Sanji and Black Maria plotline, Luffy and Jinbe encounter Kid and are about to reach the fifth floor, Law meets Hawkins, Kaido and BM encounter. Queen gets kicked off the stage by Who's Who

- 999: Marco and Zoro try to reach the roof, King intervenes, Marco clash with King then Sanji intervenes and takes King. Jinbe vs Jack. Marco, Zoro, Kid, Law, Luffy, Hawkins and Killer reach the roof and stand in front of BM and Kaido. Act 3 ends

- 1000: Big reveals about the warlords, Vegapunk and Ryokugyu :finally:

What I can see is some surprise twist like an unknown character appearing to make things even more dire/chaotic or vice versa; a helping hand against 2 Yonko. Honesty the next 2 weeks can't come soon enough cause it'll tell us if we are still going to be in Wano for chapter 1000 or not

Chapter 1040: The hour of legends
-All the supernova are down, Luffy struggles to stand
- Kaido flies into the sky in his Dragon form, and charges an attack combining all his elements, he says he will destroy the country

-Luffy goes gear fourth again
-Kaido fires the attack, it is like a bijuu dama bigger than the capital. There is a massive explosion

-the dust clears to reveal that Luffy has blocked the attack with a haki barrier that covers the entire capital, Kaido is shocked

-Luffy flies into the air and hits Kaido with King Kong Gatling with penetration haki. We see Xray of Kaidos body where his insides are destroyed in the attack. Kaido crashes into the big tree in the capital, Luffy goes out of G4 and passes out.

-Kaido and the tree are falling out of the sky, he is severely wounded and bleeding heavily but still charges a last-ditch boro breath before he dies. He fires at Hiyori and the fallen scabbards.

-Zoro appears and cuts the attack like Kinemon. Zoro runs up the falling tree with his remaining sword Enma in hand. He leaps into the air and as he blackens Enma with haki, we get short flashbacks of Oden and Wano's suffering

-Zoro beheads Kaido in a recreation of Ryuma's legendary feat. The citizens witness as Kaido and the giant tree are chopped in half and crash into the capital.

-Zoro crashes into the ground and passes out. We see Enma land some distance away from him. The camera zooms in on Enma to reveal that the blade is still black.

I like this, my only problem is putting Hawkins there and not Apoo, which is understandable considering Apoo's current situation. This is why I think the "8 Supernova" moment won't actually happen until significantly later, when we know Hawkins/Apoo have switched sides and Oda can do a real Supernova doublespread, not one without all of the captains/killer/zoro.

That said, this next battle against Kaido might also just end in failure or the battle being postponed (Like Onigashima crashing and separating everyone mid fight), which might actually need to happen considering there are a ton of other villains that need exposure to go down first, either by strawhats or allies in general

I had to put Hawkins there just to let him do something, everyone would have had his place in Onigashima bar him :josad:
