I don’t care how long it takes...One Piece could end next week, as long as Oda can give us a satisfying resolution to the multitude of loose ends he started. If he can do it in five years, wonderful; ten, even better. Figure we’ll learn a ton of history in Wano, maybe some in Elbaf, and then it’ll be time for all the plot lines to coalesce into one. If he packs each chapter from here on out with the kind of information we got in ones like 957/958, then I could see him sticking to the five years thing pretty easily...but that means no more bullshit side stories or characters that don’t matter, everything that happens needs to focus on getting us to the denouement.

5 years basically means 190 chapters if Oda's current output of 38 chapters per year holds. Now, DressRosa saga itself was about that length.

There is no way in hell Oda can conclude the story this fast.
The Final War should last at least many dozens of chapters I think

I just want Luffy to finally beat an admiral
He will probably just beat Akainu as one

I doubt OP will end in five years. Dressrosa alone was over 100 chapters and took slightly over two and a half years to finish. That arc was not even a Yonko arc.

Considering how Oda consistently adds more and more material to his story than he ever originally plans, OP is more likely to end somewhere between seven and ten years.

Depends on how much Wano achieves and what the next arc actually is. If Wano lasts another 70-80 chapters, and Oda doesnt go to Elbaf next, I severely doubt 5 years being the cutoff. Again, it also depends on what he actually answers here, but I also doubt many other major players will be joining Wano as of late.

Still believe:

- Wano
- Vegapunk
- Elbaf
- Final Island/Final War/New Marineford/Mariejois/Fishman Island (no clue how all this carries out, but all of it is necessary)
- Laugh Tale (I believe Oda has specified OP will end with Laugh Tale, but who knows? Maybe it comes before the Final War).

With that, Wano would be one of the last few arcs in the series. It makes sense on that note.

Yeah pretty much if he plays his cards right also 5 years is a long period of time and as per jump rulesyou have to say when the final chapter will be 6 months in advance so if he doesn't thing he can always add an year since he has a lot of time.

The war here on wano will probably be wgat will trigger the final war. I hope we will have the answers we need in this period. And remember Wci should have been short also the doffy arc

5 years may sound long (and it is Loooong), but it is only 160-190 chapters. That's chump change compared to what we've gotten thus far.

I doubt he is rushing Wano, he is just pacing it really well is all, for as big as the arc actually is.

However, we also have to remember the sheer number of characters revealed, and unrevealed, that have implications on the plot. I dont see Oda truly rushing a story he has worked on for 22 years. It will nearly 30 years by the time tue story arrives at its climax, he may as well do everything concisely.

However, we have to consider Oda's likely pacing problems come towards the end of the arc. Dressrosa and WCI suffered from this, and were 15-20 chapters too long each. Wano, being much larger, will likely overextend for the sake of answering most details about the arc, similarly to past arcs
