"Luffy didn't beat Lucci because he didn't stay down, and recovered quickly". Start there :optimistic:
:okay:

But, - does recover not mean that he needed time for that and could have been beaten the moment he lay there still hurt?

By the way: How does intelligence influence the scale, if you want to compare two fighters?
The same goes for weapons, such as Devil Fruits, guns, swords ... . I mean, if a fighter has to rely on those to make them strong, how dare we compare those fighters, with those advantages with normal fighters, who are fighting without them?

Is there even a scale? And if, with how many points/minus points do we have to weight the following aspects?:
- raw power (strength)
- speed
- intelligence
- accuracy of hits
- blocking ability
- advantages (DF, weapons, etc.)
- disadvantages (loss of limb, etc.)
- mental stability (Is the character mentally stable at the time of the fight? Or does they have a permanent/situative psychological circumstance, which makes them weaker/stronger?)
