The Legend Of Zelda Discussion Thread

Comes at a good time since I’d just decided to do a full series playthrough last week (well, near full series. Can’t do Four Swords solo and I’ve got no real interest in Triforce Heroes).

Have never played the NES Zelda’s before (well, never really sat down and tried to beat them) and man, the original is surprisingly hard. I think Zelda II will kick my ass. Done all the others though.

My biggest fear is that this game is going to feel more like a DLC than a proper sequal given that the original Hyrule seems mostly untouched, minus the addition of sky castles and obvious changes like new weapons, enemies, etc.
If you've already played Botw you won't have as much motivation to explore the same map, I could be wrong though (I hope I am).

Okay new theory
You will collect some kind of "tears" and put them in this item/holder.

You can exactly hold eight tears within the holder
There will be 7 dungeons and 1 one final dungeon.
These tears might be needed to fully heal Hyrule or of saving Zelda's soul from Ganondorf or whatever main antagonist there is in the game.

I am impatient to see Ganondorf's, in flesh, design in this continuity.

Maybe he'll be able of fully tapping into Demise's power this time, hence why he's so powerful in this continuity and for the existence of the malice.

Wouldn't wonder me if there is even one "true" final dungeon. Look at Twilight Princess. Technically, there were 7 dungeons and 1 "final" dungeon with Zant as the "final villain" but after his defeat, the true enemy was confirmed and you had to defeat Ganondorf in Hyrule Castle.
Post automatically merged:

People will expect that Hyrule Castle is the final dungeon again but I don't think they're gonna make this one since it'd be repetitive. Thus, the twist would be the true final dungeon!

Hopefully we get a good map to explore that has plenty of lore to discover. BOTW was immersive but man did it felt bland running around most of the time. The flashbacks were more interesting than what was currently happening in the present (which was practically nothing).

Weren't even any interesting characters to run into to make things better....Then to top it off you have a villain that's pretty much just an amorphous force and not even a real person.

I would also love a good character arc for Link (or even just Zelda) but I know that's not happening lol

Lets fucking goooo :steef:

I hope this game has way more enemy variety than the first, in addition to better dungeons and less shrines(I'm talking about the ones that are empty and just filled with a chest for completing a side quest)
If @Cross_Marian theory is right, we get 7Dungoens+Endboss, which would be also far better then what we got in first part woth just 4Dungeons and one endboss...

The game already appears to have much more verticality than BotW which was a major criticism I had for that game. Which…man. If they listen to criticims of BotW, this game could legit give Elden Ring a run for its money as best game of the decade so far.

Also, I really really, really like that the Sheika slate is a part of Link’s arm now. That shit is badass. Lol

If they truly listen to the voice of the community ( ofc the sane requests, not the dumb ones ) it could give Elden Ring a run for its money I agree.

7 dungeons sounds great.... I hope they have a more unique color scheme and aesthetic than the ones in BOTW.

Would also like to see superior bosses from the first game. Fighting 4 versions of Ganon was.....

yeah that shit looks nice.

hope they add more powers(time one seems cool) and bring back the old ones.

Some other wishes, I hope Tarrey Town returns.

Would also be interested in seeing some large explorable islands.
