It tells us what? That she’s stronger than Marco? Well, she’s not, as they already clashed equally. I don’t really see what it tells us about her physical strength.
All you need is Ryou to hurt her. Kaido has hax durability, moreso than Big Mom, but if you have Ryou then he’s done. Marco has Ryou, thus he can easily hurt Big Mom.
Keep in mind that Big Mom ran away from Marco while openly saying “If you want to kill me Marco, then do it later.”

It's so obvious that BM looked superior in that small clash. She overpowered Marco, grabbed him and he wasn't able to do anything at that specific point. Perospero could harm him and Marco looked like he was about to die. But, BM could also just use her physical strength to damage Marco.
Oda just wanted to make Carrot and Wanda look better, so he made them save Marco. That's the only reason.
