PoL or CoC? Or maybe it's neither. I'm still thinking about what Oda said in that SBS a while back when he brought up Sanji's unnatural resistance to heat. He did say that we should pay closer to attention to him in the future (this was mid Egghead iirc) so maybe we'll get an answer for that this arc
We have an interesting poll going so I won't request a change but I think we should get one going eventually. I wanna hear everyone's thoughts
*Power of Love imo
- Was introduced last arc and hasn't been fleshed out yet.
- I think this arc will focus on the M3 developing what they already got
- Particularly intrigued by PoL and the letter Einstein apparently wrote to his daughter (it's fake but what makes it very interesting is the Vegapunk who is clearly based off of Einstein acknowledged the existence of the Power of Love on Egghead ^^)
Can be CoC but don't think it has to be as PoL is a ting. Prefer PoL.
Also as a side note, I think PoL being haki related doesn't really make sense given it's being associated to the bucanners so think it'd be it's own ting personally.

I still don't think Power of Love is a "power" on his own. I always thought it's just a figure of speech. Like Kuma reamained "human" in some way thanks to his emotions, his love for his daughter.
So I put it all in on king's haki, because no one can't deny that Sanji deserve it, and it would be too cool seeing him knock out people without taking out his hands from the pockets.

Don’t think it is given how many times Oda re-used on Egghead. If we only saw Sanji no sell S-Shark’s punch with it then fair enuff but he was also able to destroy a friggin laser which we’ve never really seen Haki do. Plus Kiz won’t have been so shocked or brought up the ‘defying the laws of physics’ ting if it was that simple.
On Kuma, again like Sanji if we simply saw Kuma overcome his programming with sheer will power then it could have been chalked off as just a figure of speech but Vegapunk hinted at it being the true abilities of the Buccaneers so it isn’t just a one off ting

Would be cuul for Sanji to get CoC and I do think it’d fit him but I’d dislike PoL being CoC tbh. Not only is ACoC becoming a panacea for all problems OP, Sanji’s ridiculous feats on Egghead being revealed to be anything anyone with CoC can do will be disappointing to say the least but luckily that ability has been attributed to the buccaneers so I think it being CoC is unlikely.
Also personally I think the PoL route as opposed to the CoC route makes Sanji’s comments to Kuma on Thriller Back a bit more realistic than the latter. Only way Sanji makes that statement a reality is if he’s unique in some way.

I understand what you're saying. But every character has his own stats, in some way. The endurance feat against S-shark it's because Sanji has abnormal defence right now. I don't think it has anything to do it with CoC (or "power of love", even if Sanji mentioned it. Because I always thought that in that case the power of love it comes from Sora, her mother and what she did)
For the stopping lasers with kicks, yeah if it's something anyone can do with CoC it would be disappointing. But again, I think it is something that was exclusive to Sanji alone, and maybe he did it thanks to his exoskeleton (we have to remember the eyebrow was reversed in that occasion) or "power of love" as you say. But again it would be a let down if every CoC user can do it, I admit it too.
Voice of All Things, control over the Sea Kings, Shyarly’s Clairvoyance, the Buccaneer’s special power - it’s all likely to be forms of Haki.
Oda confirmed in SBS Garp's punch hurting Luffy was because of “love”, not Haki.
I think it’s a crucial bit of context to framing Sanji defying the laws of physics in destroying Kizaru's laser.
On a separate note, Sanji no-selling S-Shark was likely just his exoskeleton at play. It’s possible PoL could been involved, but there’s no indication of that.
Sanji was also supposed to be Stealth Black, what happened on Egghead is most likely related to that. Being invisible means light doesn't interact with your body, after Sora's drug Sanji might have gone the opposite way: light interacts too strongly with his body

Sanjis unique abilities all being linked to CoC would be pretty lame imo
I like the idea of PoL existing, but I also like the idea that it’s a defensive ability in nature as it seems to activate when Sanjis protecting others.
If PoL is really a thing, it's likely a spiritual power tied to the user's will, so it's not really different from haki. That's why I'd be inclined to believe it's haki-related, rather than an entirely separate power system (doesn't mean it has to be tied to CoC specifically, just haki in general).
Brother, he immediately suffered an injury as soon as Vergo came at him more seriously.
Vergo wasn't even on his full black armament body still. Vergo was a stated CoA monster.
Cracked legs aside, Sanji had major trouble with Vergo's CoA
I let you slide on some other shit before, but if I ever catch your bum ass propaganda posting again, I will violate your rights in ways yet to be defined in law. @RayanOO tell ya boy before I get vexed.
The only types to overwank Sanji are those weirdos on twitter hoping to squeeze a living out engagement.
The truth of it is that this fandom largely accepts the framing most often repeated.
Oda has never deviated from the rivalry between Zoro and Sanji being one of equals, but the majority of the this fandom will uncritically repeat talking points about hierarchies and what have.
Anyone actually paying attention knows the truth of it is as it always has been: they're equals and always will be.
You need to cut the bullshit and refamiliarise yourself with Sanji's feats.
If the manga WERE pointing in either one direction, like for like feats would point toward Sanji > Zoro, not the other way around.
What is this revisionism?
Despite this sanji revival, never, NEVER forget that Sanji post-TS was big garbage until the whole Wings thing.
Queen was his only major 1v1 this entire time.
Dont pretend like things were great back then.
We didnt endure hell just to put some Rose colored nostalgia glasses and sugarcoat his clash against Vergo.
He wasnt winning.
I've never been an advocate that Sanji was big garbage up until the wings thing and neither i thought you thought that way, the wings thing for me was just a mere confirmation of something extremely obvious, what i never imagined was that the "Left Hand" term would end up being canon but here we are lol...
No one other than Luffy had 1vs1 against actually troublesome and not massively nerfed opponents, enough to look bad and then look decent or good. The only thing i consider big garbage was the nosebleed in FMI, but that was mainly because i was an anime watcher back then and the anime made it 100x worse. In the manga, it's literally just a few panels of it that you can count with your fingers, and Sanji has great moments in that arc as well. Other than that, i could point out the writing decision of Oda, by introducing Law, of reducing Sanji's clutch moments and focusing more on his relation with female characters up through seemingly less relevant missions (that ended up showing to be extremely relevant) for most of it up until Zou and Whole Cake.
Recognizing Sanji's feats isn't overwanking Sanji. Saying King > Big Mom is overwanking Sanji but thats obvious for most people.
It's just that a lot of us let the overall hate and downplay, and recency bias, that was put against Sanji have a much bigger meaning than it had, not thinking about how good and meaningful things could show up to be when looking back at it in the future, specially in this forum which had like 70% of his audience taken by massive Zoro fans, who would not only overlook Zoro's bad showings but would force themselves to make Sanji's 100x worse than they actually were, either character moments or fighting scenes. By the end of it, time is proving to be our best ally, Oda is making a considerable portion of the fanfics about Sanji become true ever since Wano lol
Im sorry but im not falling into this "garbage" thing. His potential was reduced for a considerable portion of the ts? Yes, but lots of fans have complains about their faves post-ts, so being garbage actually depends on what are the current standards to make comparisons with, if the overall standards are low, i guess that, by comparison, anything a little bit better than low can already be considered decent lol

Sanji and Luffy jumped Big Mom's attack and when Oda was questioned if Sanji hit her, Oda said he blocked her.
You have Oda implying Sanji could beat his brothers alone if it weren't for the threat on Zeff's life
We have Sanji benting Yonji's Exoskeleton which is a huge feat. You can compare how hard his kicks hit Luffy to how hard Katakuri damaged Luffy, in similar circumstances. Which is later reinforced by how hard he hit Oven's shoulder, who was later confirmed to have the toughest body among the Sweet Triplet (Katakuri, Oven and Daifuku)
You have Sanji refusing to fight against Judge after realizing it was completely pointless and dirty, and coming out unscathed of the exchange.
Thats why i said time is our best ally, and as a Sanji fan im not falling into people's baits that easily
Specially when we have Oda himself to bait us like im the Sanji vs Kizaru exchange which seemed to be so obvious FOR EVERYONE but that would apparently wank Egghead Sanji more than necessary even if it lasted a few panels.
Heck my signature is a proof Sanji needs to be looked down even outside of the manga to someone else look better by comparison. This is an achievement and proof he is renting free on some minds since ever
Idk why Gaban would say something to Sanji that Zeff said.
Zeff is sanji's father. he raised sanji. he knows sanjii.
Gaban just saw him for the first time.
Gaban had to test Luffy and Zoro, but suddenly he sees something in Sanji just because?
Nah fam.
I want this moment to be a moment for Sanji himself to have the desire to push himself further. Which is why I want him to lose here, in order to justify his growth later on.
All part of the process.
Yeah.
I wonder if Gaban kinda told Sanji he didnt have it, then Sanji decided to simply ignore him and "prove him wrong". That would be more in character, imo.
Then we can have another flashback where Gaban is getting underestimated and proves people wrong with his power.
We in the "Gaban has flashbacks about Metal 3 paralleling Monster trio" festival.
Yeah.
