Yeah Luffy and co won't kill directly anyone on panel but they are likely responsible for indirect death.

The main theme of One piece is dreams and goals so crushing someone dream and goal is stronger than killing him. This is Luffy's way.

But Luffy and co wont save an enemy from death they are no saints.
