I love the BBP too, a pity Kuzan is betraying them. Such a nice addition to the crew.

As for Sanji vs BBP fight, I fully support Laffite match, dude is weird in an interesting way, and I'd love to have not only a brute force fight but also with a pinch of smart moves. Too bad Oda forgot about Sanji's intelligence...
Diamond Lafitte is the dream -excluding fake pirate Kuzan- but I still prefer Burgess, the actual RHM 
Sanji does need some stealthy mission or to devise some genius plan. I guess he can do that to save Pudding
Don't worry about Gaban, he is in the perfect spot. He is going to lose just because they got leverage over him, I'm sure Sommers and the others won't really stand a chance. He is Elbaf Oden.

Gaban is already a better character and I'm quite fond of Gaban and Ripley as a couple. Still, he is Elbaf Oden: the overpowered good guy whose kid has been kidnapped by the bad guys

Objects (swords, capes, canes, rings, guns) have been shown to be able to "eat" only zoans. Lafitte is the only BBP without a confirmed DF power. Do the math

After Vegapunk hinted the PoL being a thing through his lack of scientific explanation for Kuma's feats and behaviour in Egghead, followed by Sanji blocking Kizaru and Gaban talking bout love, i think Oda is preparing stuff to go deeper into what that power trully is.
As of now, Vegapunk mentioned it seems to be a thing mostly Buccaneers could do (if VP was really talking about PoL)
