Kong Gun vs Tempura Udon is coughing baby vs hydrogen bomb, not like Katakuri managed to block it to begin with, he let it pass through him and when you do that with TU, it's game over. It doesnt stop like Kong Gon does, it goes through for quite some distance.

Funny thing is that King is more effective here.
Harder to damage, just as fast if not faster and more destructive with big moves.
Kizaru hasnt shown anything more powerful than laser explosion while King's Jackpot and Imperial Flaming Dragons are far more devastating for a kingdom made of sweets that are weak to fire...

Indeed, Totland seems hopeless against King.
Regarding Bairang Gun, it could probably sink any island in the archipelago except WCI, which might require more hits.
The problem lies in the effort, that exhausts Luffy too much probably and he might not be able to use it repeatedly, similar to how taxing G3 was in the beginning, and 1 hit was a limit. However, King's moves dont seem to be that much exhausting, especially the Tempura Udon. While King needs to do more work per island than Luffy would, King is probably more effective in sinking that empire.
