Yes, It could be.
But i see red flags for Mihawk. The day he joined CG he has lost his cryptic presence and his ethereal quality just to join gags with the bunch of loosers.
It just doesnt fit the bill for the final WSS fight of zoro to be a friendly battle, when we can have zoro fight for his life with whole world at stake with the most evil and ruthless swordsman and him subsequently attaining WSS.

Yes both Shanks and Mihawk will fall in the hands of BBPs. This is their fate sealed the day they were rivals.
Zoro will then defeat his teacher's nemesis and by cutting nothingness would be an insane amount of hype that no swordsman has ever got.

I think Zoro vs Mihawk will happen but I don't think it's guaranteed like Zoro vs Shiryu or Zoro vs Nusjuro

Oda already established that Teach, unlike Luffy, doesn’t care about his crew.

The most straightforward way for Mihawk vs Zoro to happen:

• Have Shiryu job to Beckman, Law, or someone
• Teach fires Shiryu
• Buggy and Crocodile get defeated and Mihawk, the surviving member of Cross Guild, ends up teaming up with Teach, replacing Shiryu

Teach wants to conquer the world. On that scale, Shiryu is basically a fodder.

The candidates for King of the world all had multiple top tier fighters.

Imu has his Gorosei, Pranks, and the Admirals
Xebec had Shiki and the future yonko
Roger had Rayleigh, Oden, and Scopper

I’m guessing Shiryu was just an interim first mate. Something Oda gave Teach so he could have a proper yonko crew. But if he’s going to be a challenge to EoS Luffy, Shiryu is probably getting booted.
