I'm 177-178 Cm and i haven't really felt insecure about it to need to actually lie.
Don't get me wrong if there was a pill that could add another inch or two i would take it but honestly I'm happy with my height since most people in my family are short so when i actually became this tall and started towering over most of them i felt great.

I'm the opposite lol, my family is from the flemish/dutch part of belgium (moved to the US when I was really young @Fujishiro ) so even though I'm average/average+ height in the US I have a bit of chip on my shoulder because I'm shorter than my male relatives lol
