Character Discussion Thoughts on Saturn's Portrayal so Far?

He regens after the fact. He still takes the attacks and gets back up with less of an issue than either of them.
It's because of this aspect about him, that he hasn't even begun to fight back yet. Hes not worried at all at the moment, which should be telling to the fans.
Oda even spelled out his mentality on the matter in his introduction when he said. "If I didnt want to be hit, I would have dodged."
Regardless if he is fighting back or not, its pretty clear he hasn't gotten serious yet.

Sounds cool and all, until Devon easily touched him, and Saturn couldn't do anything about it.
He tried to attack them but Augur easily teleported away and once again Saturn could do nothing.
He is portrayed as a harmless moron. Didn't take down anybody neither, his attack was deflected by Sanji. While Lucci on other side looks more competent than him with his one shotting spree: Atlas, Sentomaru and Stussy.

Yeah, she touched him right after he got knocked down. He was dazed for a few seconds. That's par for the course. They escaped him because Augur teleported.
But notice Augur and Devon didn't try fighting and eliminating him, which is the smart choice if their plan involves mimicking him. Would be much easier to pull off if he was actually out of the picture.

Saturn got fooled by Devon and Augur. His portrayal this chapter is kinda like Big Mom, a strong but harmless character and keeps getting clowned by every other weaker characters.

Pretty much what I expected in terms of being reliant on hax.
Seems to be the immortality surgery that gives him the regeneration, so he’s in no danger of dying…but he’s shown nothing top tier in terms of offense either.
His actual durability without the regen is kinda disappointing though. Losing body parts to Kuma and rubble….
Still, it’s good overall for the Gorosei. They can’t be killed, but they don’t need to be boxing top tiers either.

I think Saturn being powerful being in the current arc is possibility.
Pg's Thoughts: ehhh.... mean 1094 & 1095 introduction of Saturn was Fantastic but we got out of the Kuma flashback and ever since then...........................................
I do like that he's not anything crazy powerful. Was worried about powercreep going off the rails in the final saga but it looks like it'll be fairly manageable

Saturn is absolutely malding. He's (supposedly) the highest authority on the planet who rules over all the "insects" inhabiting the surface, and he is getting dunked on left and right.
Saturn's orders from Imu were to capture Punk Records for the World Government's benefit. And he is so mad right now that he ordered the entire island to be destroyed because he's just that pissed off.
