There might just be a time skip (something crzy happens) after stepping foot in the Dark Continent, to reintroduce Gon and Killua. Gon get his nen back and Killua is more op. Since Gon relative has been living in the DC there this whole time, its only fitting they meet. Plus I can see Gon, Killua, and Bisky mirroring Netero, Zigg?, and Linne.

It's an optimistic time rn in the fanbase but we still need to temper our expectations.

Getting to the actual Dark Continent is still way waaaaay out there. We're only a bit more than a week into a two month journey. Even though Togashi is back for now, I doubt we'll ever arrive at the DC
