Yeah, the Total War series hasn't even made a title set in the 20th century, let alone anything futuristic. 
Battlefleet Gothic Armada 2 is probably the closest you can currently get to such an experience though that is spacecraft shooting eight bells at each other.
The chronologically latest setting in the franchise is the Fall of the Samurai DLC for Shogun 2 which is set in the 1860s in the lead up to the Boshin War and and the Meiji Restoration.
At least the difficulty provides Tarriff with some meme material.

If that is how it is now, how is it going to be after Norsca gets a rework and a DLC?
Throt doesn't really attack you but he is a pain, Norsca to the North must be dealt with ASAP. But you just don't have time, cause if you falter with soul catching you can lose.
Also Kislev currently has a big with supply lines where even if you disband the lord he supply lines remains

The custom demon lord campaign is just insane, yes it is fun but man you will be at non stop war 24/7 with EVERYONE, hell even Wood Elves sent a stack at me.

Cathay is ridiculously fun and good. They are like Dwarves just better IMO because they can use magic.
That is what Book of Grudges was thinking too. Neferata DLC with the Duke as FLC for the Immortal Empires map.
His model has been around since the first game, the Vampire Counts have been around since the first game and the Bretonnians were a free faction for the first game. Whacking a price tag on him would be a bit weird so he makes sense as an FLC lord.
Others in the comments section were pointing out that his intro video looks exactly like Fellhart's, just re-skinned.

I mean he isn't that big of a character to be a full LL. Yea sure Blood Knights need more love but IHMO if you will do Vampires what needs rework is Neferata part not knights.
He is most def a FLC with Neferata being DLC. And if my memory serves me right Neferata tried to fuck over dwarves in End Times so maybe Dawi get introduced

It is probably just because they have already done his model so they might as well do something with him. Abhorash would be better for a Blood Knight themed Legendary Lord and would tie into a Neferata DLC better.
About the only unique thing I can think of is that they could try to make a Mousillon faction a hybrid Vampire Count/Bretonnia faction. Give the Duke access to peasants/men-at-arms/yeomans and make a Black Grail Knight unit.
They could also try to chuck Mallobaude in there somehow. Although wouldn't it make more sense for Mallobaude to be a Legendary Lord for Mousillon and have him resurrect/recruit the Red Duke into his service rather than the other way around?
Yeah, didn't she kill one of their deities? If I recall correctly, it was Thorek Ironbrow she fought against in that battle.

i am huge fan of TW series
my first game was Empire and its the most one i enjoyed so far , then Medieval 2 was alot of fun to llay with saladin .
didn't try Napoleon but u have it.
third game in series i played was Shogun 2
it's great game sometimes i put it abive Empire.
fourth one is Rome 2 i didn't like it as others but it was not bad.
my last experience with TW is Warhammer 1
when it's first announced i was skeptical cuz i liked historical stuff more and has no past knowledge about Warhammer before.
but i play it i really enjoyed it and realised why some prefer Warhammer than any other tw games
it more repayable than any other since every faction is different.

so i am still didn't try much of warhammer 1
only finished dwarf and beastmen campaign.
can't wait to finish 1 and start 2
