The new Omens of Destruction DLC trailer dropped yesterday for Warhammer III.

This trailer isn't as cinematic as the previous trailers. Almost looks like a Warhammer I trailer at times.

Anyway, the content is as follows:

Khorne
• New Legendary Lord in Skulltaker.
• Two new Legendary Heros in Skarr Bloodwrath and Scyla Anfingrimm.
• New generic lord option in the Blood speaker.
• Five new units in the Slaughter Brute, Bloodbeasts, Wrathmongers, Skullreapers and Khorngors.
• Khorne fans will get a free FLC faction led by Arbaal the Undefeated.

Greenskins
• New Legendary Lord in Gorbad Ironclaw.
• One new Legendary Hero in Snagla Grobspit.
• New generic lord and hero options in the Savage Orc Great Shaman and Night Goblin Big Boss.
• Five new units in the Black Orc (Axe & Shield), Mangler Squiqs, Colossal Squig, Arachnarok (Flinger) and Bolt Throwa.

Ogre Kingdoms
• New Legendary Lord in Golgfag Maneater.
• One new Legendary Hero in Bragg the Gutsman
• New generic lord and hero options in the Ogre Paymaster and Bruiser.
• Five new units in Golgfag’s Maneaters, Pigback Riders, Blood Vultures, Yhetees and Thundertusks.

The DLC looks alright, not as great as Thrones of Decay, still a lot better than Shadows of Change. Like with Thrones of Decay, you can buy the entire DLC at once or just the individual factions that you want. I do like my Ogre lads the most and they look like they get the most out of this DLC.

I've just finished the prologue campaign, what DLCs provide the most content on average ? For now i just bought the Champions of Chaos one but i have yet to find my fav....it's sure been a while

CA is already gnawing at my sanity cause after seeing all the good looking stuff for Ogres, they listened to the multiplayer base that makes up like 3% of the total player base, tried their hand at "balancing" units and made all monstrous cavalry and monstrous infantry units unplayable which is literally the entire Ogre unit roster.

Well besides that game breaking bug, at least everything else is looking alright to good.

Units wise, Ogres got the best deal. They got units which provides new tactics for them with a buffer lord (Ogre Paymaster), fliers (Blood Vultures) and debuffers (Yhetees and Thundertusks). Khorne gets more variety with what they are already good at but the units look good, the new lord is also a great addition for the faction. Greenskins are a mixed bag. The lord, hero and squig units are good but the other stuff is either an unnecessary reskin (Arachnorok Spider with Flinger) or unexciting stuff that should have been a game 1 unit (Black Orcs with Shield and the Bolt Throwa).

The Ogrehaul completes the big guys.

• Having the same confederation mechanic as Norsca.

• Skrag and Greasus having their own campaign mechanics.

• Changes to Big Names, Ogre Camps, Meat etc.

All this stuff is great.

In short, Ogres got the most love, Khorne got nice tweaks and Greenskins got the short end of the DLC stick. Also, CA needs to stop breaking their game every time they do a new patch update.

Still no good Slaanesh Lord. Or Nagash as playable faction...

Nagash probably isn't coming anytime soon. Expect him to come near the end of the game's life cycle.

Slaanesh will be in the next DLC. It's the only monogod faction without a DLC now. It'll probably be the The Masque of Slaanesh as the DLC faction lord with Dechala the Denied One as the FLC faction lord.

The other two factions will likely be Dark Elves and High Elves.

Since you already have Champions of Chaos, I would highly recommend you get the original Chaos Warriors DLC to complete the race and play the CW's best lords like Archeon, Belakor and Kholek.

The Beastmen are a great race that received the best rework ever so either get the Call of the Beastmen and/or Silence and the Fury.

The Prophet and the Warlock is the DLC that makes Skaven awesome as it has the most iconic weapons teams such as Warplock Jezzails and Ratling Guns along with Doom Flayers. Ikit Claw is also arguably the best Skaven legendary lord.

The Warden and the Paunch is another great DLC and adds quite a bit to High Elves and Greenskins.

Forge of the Chaos Dwarfs and Rise of the Tomb Kings are the best race packs after the Beastmen. The Ogres should also be good after this rework plus CA fixing monstrous units.

Thrones of Decay is the best game 3 Lord pack DLC. Since you can purchase the individual factions separately then you can just pick what you want. Nurgle greatly benefits from Tamurkhan.

Legend of Total War did a DLC Tier list ranking recently if you want that as a guide.

Couple of days in:

Did a Khorne run as my first campaign ( it ended up badly i had no idea how to manage things )

Then i saw Cathay beign the suggested faction for the first timers so i tried Zhao Ming it went a lot better, i had to restart like 3/4 times till i figured out how to manage everything and by the 4th time i managed to conquer all of Cathay :D

I also bought Tamurkhan's DLC since the chieftain mechanic seemed nice and it is though i can feel the struggle switching from Cathay's economy xD

I) Pre-order DLC factions will no longer be an early purchase incentive. All factions will either be base game or post game launch DLC.

II) Blood effects will be part of the base game if it is thematically fitting to include it (e.g. a Warhammer 40k game).

III) Shadows of Change will be changed so that individual factions can be purchased exactly like how Thrones of Decay and Omens of Destruction allow for that option.

IV) Kislev will get a proper faction rework in 2025 while Tzeentch and Cathay will get faction updates.

V) There will be both free and paid Warhammer III content throughout 2025.

VI) New projects will be revealed in late 2025. The main guesses from the community so far have been a Warhammer 40k game and a WWI historical game.
