The only reason why I don't see it is due to the tease of the SSG. That to me sounds like another group of individuals who will pose a threat to the crew in the future or final war. I personally don't expect to see Vegapunk until next arc or the following tbh. He's always felt like a post-Smile/Wano issue to me.

Introducing a mega big character this late into the story sounds like it will totally take away from what is currently going on and I personally don't see it


Edit: in fact, I believe that precisely due to Vegapunk explaining devil fruits is the storyline where Luffy learns awakening. Maybe not exactly from Vegapunk, but potentially from some new ally scientist to who teaches him.

Vegapunk is absolutely coming to town, just not sure when or how. Orochi demanded CP-0 turn him over, and the guy with the bowler hat mentioned how Vegapunk previously experimented on Kaido to create Momo’s DF...seems like a little too much smoke for there to be no fire.

Gotta disagree outta bias. I think the best payoff for this unreasonably long arc should be Vegapunk someone named dropped on Punk Hazard maybe before it. And coincidentally TB is a parallel to Wano

Oda the type to fire blank pop shots, maybe we get most of this stuff next arc and I’m being too optimistic

I would be extensively curious to witness Vegapunk meeting Franky. I can imagine the hype, passion such encounter would generate, but also possibly constitute a way to be capable to truly comprehend Franky's technological progresses assuming they had a real intense interaction of some sort.
