Powers & Abilities Vergo reappears with the Axolotl devil fruit

#21
There could be a “my enemy’s enemy is a friend” situation where they team up to accomplish seperate goals but they both need to cross the same obstacle (WG) same as has happened many times before (ID for example). There’s lots of potential for Doffy as he literally was the freaking underworld and his dealings had ripple effects all over the world. Such a character doesn’t just end at Dressrosa or in a jail cell
Ok ok but Dofla can do that by himself. It is a bit sad that you cannot imagine Vergo having a role that is independent of Dofla:kayneshrug:

I did a similar theory to this way back during Dressrosa. But the longer the story goes on, the less and less likely I see this happen. But Oda is definitely going to have Doflamingo freed from Impel Down for the final war, and currently the only person in the DD pirates whose fate is still uncertain, and isn't locked up as well, is Vergo. So he might be a wild card for Oda to use to free the DD pirates. Time will tell.

@critical mindset aka the Biggest Fan of Vergo-san than anyone to ever exist..

True that! :cheers:Join the fan club which started today!

I'm all fer Vergo coming back. Besides Doffy, by far best of the crew. Just absolutely not with the Axolotl DF.
The fruit was lame, salamanders are just gross, & it would totally ruin Vergo's skill combat vibe
Vergo is skilled enough as is, and the fruit will only serve to boost his physical stats which are good enough as is (see Law’s counter shock:steef:)
This man - or woman - gets it !

:goyea:
You’re not salty about that broken leg are you? Zoro would fare worse, so that’s why we need Vergo back :goyea:

@Akai2 Oda set up for Vergo to reappear from the very get-go, which is why Smiley just incidentally and most coincidentally just happened to have a devil fruit of the only animal capable of actually regrowing limbs, even inner organs :suresure::cheers:

I mean that's definitely possible from a story standpoint, but honestly I don't know if that would happen. I felt that his death scene was beautiful tbh and a great way for him to go out.

If he comes back tho these fools better watch out for the Chou Kouka

Nice signature btw

Doflamingo had a plan to destroy the WG. We don't even know what that was all about but you can agree it only makes sense for DD to reappear for us to learn of just the true depth of his scheming? The only one who had direct access and familar experience with the military forces of the WG was Vergo.

And now DD is in Impel Down heavily guarded. It takes stealth to sneak into IP (the axolotl form should be able to climb walls, Vergo is shown to be the most adept with soru and geppo) but it also takes a true beast to fight the poisonous hydra of Magellan whose df powers are most likely awakened. Magellan is a nightmare to face, so the Axolotl regenerative powers will definitely come to great use, and he will show once and for all what the power of haki can accomplish

Yeah we haven't seen Doffy's plan yet. But that's partly because he needed the Op Op fruit. Doffy is pretty much my favorite character in the whole manga, but I just don't see a reason why his plan is gonna come back into the story.

I agreed that there's a way t bring Vergo back using the DF regeneration method that wouldn't create plot holes, I just think Vergo has finished his character arc with this great scene. I mean his character is all about loyalty and respecting the chain of command from Doffy. And this scene just put an end to that arc.

Not really One Piece's style to bring Vergo trying to break Doffy out of prison back in to the narrative. The story is heading towards Laugh Tale after Wano.
