Questions & Mysteries Wang Zhi/Ochoku being dead doesn't make sense

In Thriller Bark we saw a zombie who many have speculated to be Wang Zhi from Rocks

In the latest chapter, Oda indirectly and silently confirms this by including a member from Rocks crew who looks EXACTLY just like that zombie
same helmet, same beard, etc...

A reminder that this Zombie was seen 2 years ago in Thriller Bark, meaning that this corpse has been dead for years prior, and Moria + Hogback revived it with their fruit/skills.

Now here's the issue: if this was Wang Zhi, then how the fuck was he still alive when Blackbeard took over Hachinosu 1 year ago during the Rocky Port Incident?

This doesn't add up... either that zombie wasn't Wang Zhi then like we all thought

or he was and this is a flat out retcon/plot hole on Oda's part... did he forget?

I’m guessing the silhouetted one is Wang Zhi since he still has relevance to Rocky Port. You could be right though, the guy with claws was also seen in the Rocks panel spread.

That armored guy is probably Silver Axe... A potential member who has Silver/Metal DF who can shapeshift his sword...

That zombie is either Silver Axe or some unnamed Rocks pirate. Ofc the fact that the zombie doesn’t have an axe is bizarre, but that could be because the shadow of the person he inherited was a swordsman

It took blackbeard crew + law + coby to take Wang zhi, the guy must have been a monster.

In comparison, navy was fine with sending a few ships to get the shichibukais lol.
