Onigashima hasn't been that bad. It's not great but I can shut my mind off and read it. The war arc for Naruto was downright irritating and I didn't particularly enjoy the art by that point either.

It was Zetsu's fault for the most part, he ruined all.

I actually enjoy the raid. Like its not perfect and Oda makes some bad choices here and there but i think almost all the chapters in the raid are enjoyable.

Raid is overstaying its welcome though and i think its because Wano is going more than 3 years. Like this is a really long time and people wants to see new islands at this point. After Wano i think the remaining story is gonna be very short. I think Final Saga will be long as Wano at this point.

Bleach's thousand year war arc ended like dogshit, arguably worst ending to an arc ever, we never even got to see the Main Character's new abilities.
Naruto's war arc was trash off the rip. Edo Madara saved the early war, but even he got lost in the sauce by the end of it.

I'd hardly call Wano a war arc tbh. The real war arc was marineford and the one that's due to come.

Kingdom depicts wars the best. You can pick multiple Kingdom war arcs but I don't think it's a shonen.

Agreed with everything you said. The war is too bad and I can't see the way to bounce back. Not to mention that many characters seem off. For example, Kaido said hundred times to kill Luffy in brutal way. But instead throw him too the sea and explicitly regret not killing him :zorothink:

These tha highest stakes we ever had, yet not a single fucking reader is like “oh I wonder how they’ll get outta this” or “what tha ramifications of this will be”. I know I shit on Big Mom(justifiably so) but we literally have Big Mom getting run over by a speedo wearing cyborg who she could kill by laughing and getting blocked by a plushie who is only important to selling merchandise to lil kids and weirdos

Seeing how Wano has gone and remembering people on Oro Jackson, looking me in tha eyes(through their screen) and telling me Oda has NEVER written a bad chapter and that One Piece has NO bad chapters is peak hilarity

On a serious note, I still hold One Piece to be overall better than Naruto but I would be a horrendous liar if I said that seeing this moment with Madara did not generate far more menace and excitement than any scene with Kaido & Big Mom in Wano.

To capture him, you have to defeat him. 18-7 = 11 captures left without mention of defeat.

in case for kadio was defeat 7 times in 1vs 1 battle. The rest of them are group battle. (My theory)

but if my theory is wrong, then kadio got captured 11vtime like princess peach plot style.

No matter how bad Kaido's flashback is, i'm willing to bet it can't possibly be worse than Oden's.

I think i will be fine. No matter how bad Kaido's backstory ends up becoming, it ill never surpass the shit writing that is Oden Kozuki
I'm really interested in knowing kaido's past and motivations.

I think Papazuki should have let the Marine venture Wano, that would have enriched the experience of the reader for this war. A war established and fought just amongst Pirates for the most part is not as much fun as adding other categories to the overall equation.
